CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

"ARE you feeling well?"

Nagtaas ng tingin si Sofia nang marinig ang boses ni Zafrix, the familiar effect of his voice crawls in her being. Agad ay gusto niyang lumapit dito at yumakap.

She's not alright, though. And she didn't want to admit that. Pakiramdam niya ay sinusunog siya nang buhay mula sa kaniyang kaloob-looban at hinang-hina ang pakiramdam niya. Gusto na lang niyang matulog muna.

"I-I would like to rest for a while..."

Kumurap-kurap siya. Her vision has been turning red. Natatakot siya sa mga nangyayaring pagbabago sa kaniyang katawan. Tila may ideya na rin siya kung ano ang nangyayari, hinala na niya ito simula nang atakihin sila nina Vein Ruiz. Nakaramdam siya nang matinding pangamba dahilan para lalo siyang manghina.

Hanggang sa unti-unti nang nanilim ang paningin niya.

"SOFIA!"

Halos liparin na ni Zafrix ang kinaroroonan ni Sofia nang matumba ito. Agad siyang nagpatawag ng mga servants at pack doctors mula sa kanilang mind-link.

"Call the pack doctors to come into our chambers, now!" Utos niya sa kaniyang mga tauhan gamit ang kanilang mind-link.

Ngunit hindi pa man siya nakakalapit sa dalaga ay bigla na lamang itong nagmulat muli ng mata. He was met with her ruby red eyes, blazing, unknowing, seeing through him.

"Sofia," muli niyang tawag ngunit nakatayo na ito nang mabilis at walang pakundangang umatake.

"Stop this now!" he ordered loudly, letting his powerful wolf to resurface.

Sofia stopped and walked a few steps back but still glares as if as she couldn't recognized who he is.

"And who are you to order me around?" malamig na tanong nito. Her eyes, her red eyes speaks death. The way it gives his body with a cold, sharp glare says that she wanted to attack him so bad.

Zafrix was surprised. Ngunit hindi niya iyon ipinahalata. There is more to her that he is not aware about. And this is really not the first time that she went to attack him. Pinagmasdan niya ito. Maputla ang balat at pulang-pula ang mga mata na sing-pula ng mahaba nitong buhok. Walang emosyon sa mukha at matalim ang mga titig na ipinupukol sa kaniya.

Bago pa man muling may magsalita sa kanila ay nakarinig sila ng ingay mula sa labas. Zafrix didn't leave Sofia's face even though the latter got distracted. He saw her sniffed the air and he could see the hunger beginning to show in her ruby red eyes. Kaya bago pa man ito magtangkang lumabas ng kuwartong iyon at gawin ang ano mang biglang tumatakbo sa isip ay hinarangan na niya ang pinto.

It's very much obvious that Sofia is not being herself. And he's confused at to what was happening to her.

They've found out that she is a real werewolf who has a dormant wolf, and yet, she is also a vampire. Hindi pa siya sigurado kung dahil ba iyon sa dugo na itinarak dito ni Vein Ruiz o dahil sa kadahilanan na maaaring anak nga ito ni Cyan.

Sofia sneered coldly at him. And even though she was throwing him a very murderous glare, he still found her soft features as beautiful that aroused something from deep inside him. That thing that made him soft and gradually helps him for coming back to the way he really was before. She is truly the cure for his curse. And her being like this is not going to stop him for wanting her. In fact, it just increased his want to be with her even more.
