I Need A Hero (BOYXBOY/MPREG)

Chapter 9

(Short chapter tonight because I think of a thing to write tonight.) 

Sterlin's POV:

"Pass the mashed potatoes, please, son" I passed the large bowl of mashed potatoes in front of my dad Pops had just finished perparing dinner for the pack house and now everyone was sitting at the long dining room table with different bowls and platters filled to the brim with steaming food. My dad sat the head of the table and, pops across from me to dads right while I was on his left and of course Kaiden next to me. As much as I'd like to be engaged in converstation with my mate he seems to be having a very in tone converstation with Rose; One of the pack elders. I've been able to catch bits and pieces of their converstation, apparently Rose knows quite a lot about Kaiden's mother. Slipping my hand under the table I gave Kaiden's knee a light squeeze, sending tiny sparks through the palm of my hand. 

"Hey, babe something you need?" Kaiden ask turning to me. "No love I just wanted to know if I could take you out after dinner? The mall doesn't until 10 pm and I thought we could get you some new clothes while you're staying here.." It was a stupid excuse really but I just wanted an excuse to spend sometime with my mate alone. He bit the corner of his lip he nodded with a smile "Thank you I'd really like that" he says giving me a small kiss on the cheek. He's lips felt soft against my flesh, like rose petals. I shot him a light smile before returning my attention back to my food. The chatter at the hummed around the room like a swarm of bees. There was something peaceful about it though. Out of the corner of my eye I could see younger mothers trying to feed their pups that were sitting in highchairs. I couldn't help but imagine little pups of my own running around someday. Maybe I could talk to Kaiden about adoption. I'd much perfer to see my mate with a swollen belly with one of my pups, but the Goddess just doesn't work like that. 

Dinner passes by without a hitch now Kaiden, Cheza, Brandon and I are in the car headed to the only mall in town. "Do you know what kind of clothes you want, babe?" I asked Kaiden as he was busy watching the black trees and blur of street light zoom by. He hummed a response not tearing his eyes from the window. "Want to put on some music? Pick what ever you'd like.." I slip Kaiden my blue IPod attached to the car adapter. After a few moment 'Born To Die' by Lana Del Rey begin to play through the speakers. "Haha pops is going to love you, babe. Lana is and I qoute 'bad ass queen'" Kaiden smiles singing the lryics gently to himself. Cheza joining in singing not so gently. She sure is loud at times. Brandon just shook his head in amusement. I often wonder what it's be like for the two to become mates, but sadly that just wasn't the Goddes's plan. 

About forty-five minutes pass before we're parking Cheza's car in front of the large packed mall. I think it's about time I talk to Dad and Pops about getting my own car. I mean my grades are in excellent shape and I've fond my mate so maybe they'll say yes. I turn the engine off then the four of us slip out of the car. Watching over to his side I take Kaiden's smaller hand in my own. 

"Well, babe where to first?" I ask squeezing his hand lightly. We walked around a couple of minutes before Kaiden starts to pull me towards the Hottopic. Not a bad choice I could use some new band shirts anyway. I follow Kaiden towards the skinny jeans section. "Just pick out what ever you'd like don't worry about price.." Kaiden returns the gesture with a smile that reached his beautiful sapphire and purple eyes. Those eyes hold ancient powers that were going to be unlocked in just a short couple of weeks. The thought of seeing Kaiden unleash and take control of those powers was frightening and exciting all at the same time. 

"Okay I fond some things" Kaiden announces before making his way towards the dressing-room. I make my way wanting to get a few new shirts I find another Pierce The Veil shirt, a Of Mice & Men tank top and a Slipknot crew neck sweater. Kaiden emerges from the dressing-room in a new pair of dark blue skinny jeans turning around, silently asking me how they look. They look perfect and If I'm being honest they frame his ass perfectly. Just the look of his little bubble butt was putting my wolf in a frenzy. He and I both wanted to take him against the wall and mark and mate him. All in good time.

"Hey baby! Oh my god I didn't know you were going to be here!" I cringe at the high voice. There's only one person in the world that has that effect on me. "What do you want Stacey? What are you even doing here?" I ask avoiding all eye contact with the raven hair she-wolf. "I just came do to some shopping, and look who I run into; My mate." She says running her hand down my chest. The look I saw on Kaiden's face shattered my insides before I could reach out to comfort him he made a b line straight towards the door dropping his new clothes in the process. "Baby who was that and why is his scent so strange? Smells like roses and death." Stacey commented flipping her black hair over her shoulder. She's such a stupid bitch. 

"That's my mate you're talking about you stupid bitch. And I suggest you not talk illy of him again." I said I a calm voice. I could feel my wolf come to the surface, It wanted it's turn to speak and I was going to allow it this time. "Speak illy of my mate again and I'll tear you limb from limb. And scatter your body parts all around the forest to become a meal for all kinds of different animals. Am I understood?!" I pushed my wolf back feeling my eyes change back to their normal grey. Stacey looked stunned to say the least. Good. I was getting tired of playing this little game with her. "Good now if you'll excuse me I most go find my mate.." I push past the now steaming she-wolf to the cashier to pay for my new shirts and the items Kaiden had left. "You're going to regret those words Pierce. I will have you as my mate!" those were Stacey's last words before walking towards the store exist. I let out a sigh before taking my bags and connecting Cheza and Brandon through the pack link, *Guys Kaiden's run off see if you can't pick up his scent.* Their responses come almost instantly. 'What happened cuz' and 'What on earth did you do to the poor kid? Those ass am I whooping?' I shake my head at my two best friends. 'I didn't do anything Stacey fond us and Kaiden was hurt by some of her words.' I break the connection when I finally get a hold of Kaiden's familiar scent. I follow his scent to a very pack pet store. All around were little children with the parents and some teenagers and young couples cooing at puppies and kittens and other small animals. I find my mate on the floor snuggled up against a small ball of white fur. 

"Hey, baby, what you got there?" I ask taking a sit on the floor next to Kaiden. He lifts he head up still petting the fur ball and I'm met with one of the most heart breaking sites I've ever witnessed. Kaiden's eyes are red and puffy and glossy with unshed tears. I vow to near cause those tears again. "It's a kitten. I really like her.." He says trailing off. "Can I hold her?" I ask, taking the small ball of white fur from his arms. The kitten was absolutely beautiful; solid white with one blue eyes and one hazel. The wheels in my brain started turning and I called Cheza on the pack link again, 'Hey can you do me a favor? Come get Kaiden and take him to the car. I've got something I've got to take care of.' I smile at the little kitten the was batting at a loose string in my shirt. 'And what may I ask do you have to take care of?' Cheza responses, still sounding upset from the Stacey incident. 'I've fond Kaiden's birthday present and I don't want him to find out.' 

"Hey, babe, i'm going to have Cheza come get you while I take care of something real quick. It'll only take a few minutes. Why don't you two head over to the Sonic across the street for an ice cream and I'll meet you there?" Kaiden looked unsure before nodding his head, and standing up just as Cheza and Brandon were entering the store. He gave me a small smile before climbing to his feet, brushing off any dirt off the back of his jeans. "Wait you forgot something!" I quickly stand up pulling him into my arms and glently pressing my lips to his. He smiles into the kiss, nipping my bottom lip. Oh so I see the games he likes to play. We pull apart for air both grinning before I give him another kiss on the forehead before sending him on his way. The very second I saw the three of them leave the store I make my way towards the cashier with kitten in hand. "Excuse me miss but do you by chance reserve pets for people?" I ask the chubby blonde lady at the front. "Why yes we do. Up to two weeks. We put a special collar with your name on the animal so we know not to sell it." She explains. "Great, I'd like to reserve this kitten please. I should be back for her in about a week and a half." I say petting the kitten that is now snuggled against my chest. "Okay, I'll just need you to fill out some paper work. I'll also need to see some Id please?" I hand over my id and start to fill out the paper work. Hopefully Kaiden will love this birhday present. After only a couple of minutes we're all set I pet the kitten one last time and wave good-bye to the lady before making my way out of the mall and to the Sonic across the street.
