The next morning Percy woke up refreshed. He had not had a dream in weeks. He smiled. He swam to the camp. Bill was teaching the moves of his fighting style. The sword fighting lesson was soon finished. Now it was time for the magic lessons. Aphros tutored them in more spells. This routine continued on. Two months later Percy and Jack walked into Aphros's classroom as usual. He was waiting for the two.

"We are going to learn something new. We are going to learn about Moana Rouni, or sea runes. Now can you tell me what runes are used for in magic?" Said Aphros. "Runes are ancient magical writings which if made properly can be triggered by using their name given that they have a sustainable power source. Runes are triggered by using the word mau as a prefix to the name of the rune, and saying the resulting word. Spells performed with staffs are combinations of runes activated with the right words. Runes can be activated non-verbally by saying the spell silently. Combinations of runes can be activated by linking the word mau and the first syllable of the runes in the combination together." Answered Percy.

Aphros smiled. "That is correct Percy. Runes indeed are magical letters. Staff-less spells are cast in by using our own power. The staff is merely a crutch. One can make his own spells with the knowledge of runes. There are 26 sea runes. There are millions of possible valid combinations, thus millions of spells." He said. Percy and Jack grinned. Hey, who can say no to making spells. "Before you run off you are going to learn to carve runes. The power source can be anything magical. Even mau, the release spell can be used to power the runes.Giving Percy and Jack some pieces of wood and a knife, Aphros said, "Get carving." Percy and Jack began carving their runes. The runes they made however were horribly mutilated. After hours of practice they managed to carve perfect runes.

Next day the both of the friends woke up, and swam to the arena. Sword fighting lessons were the same except Percy was able to hold out against Bill for more than a minute using only underwater fighting styles. He was nowhere close to defeating Bill, but he was the deadliest of the trainees at camp. Things started changing though. Bythos now taught Percy more about the sea and the jobs he would have to do after the separation. This meant Percy would miss some of the magic lessons. To cover this up he stayed up late. The months passed by. Percy became a master in magic and Vai.

Soon Percy's training was over and he was called to Atlantis for his coronation. All the sea dwellers were invited. The throne room was decorated splendidly. All of the royal family was present. Poseidon stood up and walked to the middle of the throne room where an altar was placed with two crowns covered with coronation mantles on top of it. "Perseus my son." he beckoned.

Percy stood up and walked forward and stood on the other side of the altar facing his father. He wore a sea green Greek tunic with harpe strapped onto his belt in sword form. "Do you accept the position of the prince of Atlantis?" He asked. "I do" Percy replied. "Do you accept the position of the king of the Pacific?" "I do." "Do you promise to look after your kingdom with utmost care and aid Atlantis in dire times?" "I do." "I the god of the sea pronounce you the king of the Pacific and prince of Atlantis." Poseidon said. He picked up one of the mantles and put it around Percy's neck. The sea green mantle matched with Percy's robes. He then lifted the crown made of gold with emeralds, blue sapphires, black diamonds and rubies embedded in it. He then raised his trident and fired a beam of light at Percy. Percy gritted his teeth as he felt a lot of pain. Suddenly in a brilliant flash of light the fates arrived. "All hail Perseus Achilles Jackson, God of time, heroes, swordsmanship, knowledge and Alaska. Your symbols of power shall be your two swords. You can either create your own sacred animal or choose one. You shall retain the powers you had as a demigod." They said and vanished. Everyone was stunned. Everyone including Percy knew that he would be a god, but no one expected him to have such strong domains. Percy breaking out of his shock bowed to his father and sat down on his chair.

By now everyone had recovered from their momentary stupefaction. The same questions were asked to Triton. He had a mantle identical to the one Percy was wearing. His crown had only emeralds embedded in it. Now it was time for them to choose the members of their council. It was not compulsory to rule as a council but both princes wanted to rule in a council. Triton chose some experienced mermen. "I choose Jack the merman, Aphros the Ichthyocentaur and Bill the merman as the first members of my council." Percy said. The stunned trio accepted.

A Party began. Meanwhile Percy, Triton and their council members walked out of Atlantis. "See you later brother." Percy said. Triton smiled at him and he and his council vanished. Percy turned to his companions. "The three of you don't need to stay in the Pacific all the time. You are needed in an emergency. If you need me or want to visit me, give me a call. I won't be able to visit as I will be busy for the first week or so." Percy said. "Nah, well come with ya." Said Jack. Percy smiled. He and his friends vanished. That day marked the beginning of an unbreakable friendship.
