THE DEITIES OF KAHILWAYAN
(aka "Ibabawnun," the sky realm)

KAPTAN
The pillar of the skies, supreme god who dwells in the sky. He is the Ancient Visayan counterpart of Bathala. Of all the supreme deities in the Visayas, he is the most worshiped by the natives. He had a son named Lihangin.

MAGUAYAN (Magwayen)
The goddess of the sea and death. She had a daughter named Lidagat who died and after that, she ferried the souls of the dead to the underworld, Sulad

TUNGKUNG LANGIT ("pillar of the skies")
Supreme God of the Upper World alongside Kaptan and Kanlaon. His counterpart is Bathala and known as Alunsina's husband.

BANGUN-BANGUN
God of time and cosmic movements, assists Tungkung Langit

BARANGAW (aka Varangao)
God of the rainbow. It is said that when a warrior dies in battle, they travel up to the rainbow. Labaw Donggon, a Panay epic, states that the rainbow is actually the blood of these fighters falling down to earth. Once reaching the skyworld, the kingdom of Kaptan, they turn into gods and guide any relatives who could avenge their deaths.

God of hidden lakes.

MAKLIUM SA TIWAN
God of the valleys and plains.

MAKLIUM SA TUBIG
God of the sea.

MAKLIUM SA BAGIDAN
God of fire.

KASARAYSARAYAN SA SILGAN
God of rivers and streams.

SUKLANG MALAYON
Goddess of homeliness, sister of Alunsina and Abyang

ALUNSINA (aka Lunsina)
The Virgin goddess of eastern skies

God of Storms

OTHER DEITIES OF CREATION

FIRST GENERATION

MAGUAYAN/MAGWAYAN
The goddess of the sea and death. Along with Kaptan, she was there in the beginning of time. She had a daughter named Lidagat who died and after that, she ferried the souls of the dead to an underworld called Sulad

SECOND GENERATION

LIHANGIN
The god of the wind and the son of Kaptan. He later married Lidagat and had four children before he died.

LIDAGAT
The goddess of the sea, daughter of Maguayan. She later married Lihangin and had four children before she died.

THIRD GENERATON

LIKABUTAN
The god of the world and the eldest children of Lihangin and Lidagat. He orchestrated the rebellion against the sky realm, and was struck by Kaptan's lightning and turned into the earth.

LIADLAW (Adlao)
The god of the sun and the second children of Lihangin ang Lidagat. Joining his brother's rebellion, he also perished, but given light and turned into the sun.

LIBULAN
The god of the moon and the third children of Lihangin and Lidagat.

LISUGA
The goddess of the stars. She was the youngest children of Lihangin and Lidagat. The deity in which Silalak and Sibabay came from.
