Jisoo wondered if she should be more worried now that Jennie sent her an e-mail rather than a Whatsapp text.

It was sickeningly formal informing her that the suites were ready.

She never had to second-guess people's responses. She regretted not sleeping with her the other day.

None of this would have happened and they would still be having sex.

She could only hope that Jennie bought her statement like the rest of the internet community, and believed her to be wronged.

It was bad enough that Petrov's father was threatening to file a lawsuit for battery. Jisoo's lawyers were handling it, trying to settle out of court.

They might have lost Petrov as a customer, but the pre-bookings in all the Kcorp hotels across the continent and further said another story.

At least her family agreed to upload supportive tweets - after a few indirect threats from her PR agency to theirs.

Jisoo was at her apartment, lying flat on the bed, and glancing at the phone. The wall clock told the time was twelve thirty in the morning.

There was something else bothering her, but she allowed herself the liberty to push it to a later time.

Then she sent an e-mail to Jennie, matching her tone, telling her to be present tomorrow afternoon so that they could both go over the suites together.

Jennie was back at the office to collect some catalogues before she left for her second project.

She had issues with flat on Rue des Rosiers, and the owner, a bitingly sour divorcee who wanted to change the whole set-up to cleanse it of any signs of the cheating spouse.

Before that, she would have to stop over the Kcorp hotels to meet Jisoo. She was nervous throughout the morning, upsetting a glass of water, and bumping into more things than was socially acceptable.

At one point of time, her secretary even asked her if she was alright.

"I am fine." Jennie said giving a tight smile.

She was fine. Just a little bit of nervous tension.

"Call the chauffeur. I'll be down there by 3," Jennie instructed her secretary as she passed by.

Her car was waiting on the street, and she climbed in and told the chauffeur to take her to the next destination.

"Kcorp."

She was tapping her fingers anxiously on her thighs. She did not like Jisoo's response.

It was curt - Jisoo was matching her tone - and too much of an order.

She looked out into the passing streets. Only people out on the streets at this time of the day were the tourist.

It was only starting and soon the city would be jam-packed.
