Jisoo did not wake up in the best of moods.
Especially, when she remembered that she was leaving for Seoul in the afternoon. She would not see Jiyong's daughter for another few days.
The thought made her cringe.
Jisoo padded downstairs towards the kitchen, and made her own coffee. Sipping it, she checked The Newsasian on her ipad.
Kim Jieun was pictured again attending a charity gala in New York, with yet another man.
Jieun had told her to stay away from her personal life, but Jisoo could not but help be slightly embarrassed.
There was a long article underneath the picture.
Jieun was in the centre of all social events, everyone died to have her come to their events. And she thrived in the attention.
She turned the off, and went to her study to check her e-mails.

There was huge vase of pale pink roses on Jennie's kitchen island.
So ostentatious, Jennie thought.
She touched the petals. There was a note attached to it. Simply;
Going up to Seoul. I'll see you soon. The number's below is mine, text me yours.
P.S Don't be an asshole about it.
Jennie actually laughed. Jisoo was getting to know her a bit.
**********
Jisoo landed in Incheon Airport at one in the afternoon.
They were three calls from people she did not want to call her, but there was none from Jennie. She pursed her lips.
She put on her shades, and stepped out of the aircraft. Seoul was humid.
The approaching customs officer checked her passport and visa, glancing more at her than the documents, and returned it to her, satisfied.
She strode to the waiting car, the chauffeur holding the door open, and then slid in.
The air conditioner hit her with an intense blast.
"Myeongdong," Jisoo said.
The chauffeur nodded, he knew where to go.
There was a situation that needed her attention; a situation enough for her grandmother to order her here.
It was a beautiful landscape in the outskirts of Myeongdong where her grandmother castle was located. But she barely acknowledged it.
Jisoo was on the ipad, checking her e-mails, and wondering whether she should shoot one to Jennie.
Jennie did not text or call, and she did not have her number, but she did have her e-mail ID. By the time she was debating it, the car pulled in front of the castle.
Played Song:
The Beast
(Old Caltone)There was a butler opening her door.
Mentally preparing herself, Jisoo got out of the door.
It was just as she remembered. The huge lawn spread out in front of the castle, cheerful with the season's colours.
And the castle itself was larger than life, a nine-bedroom affair with three dining halls, and two seating areas.
It was on rent for most part of the year except during the period when her grandmother liked to relax after a successful season abroad.
