Careful What You Wish For

Chapter 12

Lucifer. My favourite villain of all time was here. He was no longer just an evil character on a show. He was real, and there was no way of predicting what he would do. What if he tried to kill us all? Or started the apocalypse? What if he tried to end the world? If we didn't stop him, we'd be screwed. We were all going to die if someone didn't stop him. "What're we gonna do?" I breathed out as I frantically paced around the room.

Dean walked up to me, gently wrapping his arms around my trembling body. "Hey, hey. It's okay, we'll stop him. It's gonna be fine."

"What if we can't stop him?"

"Listen. Sam and I? We've beat his ass before, we'll do it again."

How was he so sure about this? The devil himself was walking the earth. No one, not even Dean Winchester, could be so confident about this. Before Lucifer suddenly became real, I felt like I was finally beginning to take back control. I felt like I could actually do this. But now, I just felt helpless. And it was terrifying. I was dragged away from my troubling thoughts when I heard the phone ring. "Quinn? Quinn, is that you?"

"Mom?"

"Quinn. Don't leave the house!"

"Mom, what's wrong? What are you talking about?"

"There are these things. These creatures."

"Creatures? What do you mean?"

"They look dead. They look like us, and they're...eating people."

"What. What is it?" Dean whispered.

"Look, Mom. I'm gonna hang up the phone now, but don't go outside. Stay away from those things, okay?" Quickly hanging up the phone, I turned to Dean, who was staring at me with wide eyes. "Walkers. There's more of them now."

He just nodded. "Great. So basically, we're screwed."

"Okay, so what do we do?" I questioned.

"I say we go out and we kill all the damn walkers!" Negan growled, cradling Lucille in his hands.

Dean glared at Negan from across the room. "We need to stop Lucifer first."

"Oh right, yeah. I totally vote for immediate death."

"Well if we don't stop him, everyone's gonna die. The world will end."

"Well if we don't take care of the walkers, everyone's gonna die anyway!"

"Alright! Stop arguing! I'm the Scottish one. I'm the only one who can argue here!" The Doctor suddenly yelled. "Why don't we split into two teams and take on both things at the same time?"

Dean just stared at him, clutching his gun in his hands. "Look, Doctor, or whatever your name is. I really think we should all be focused on icing the devil here, okay?"

As I sat there listening to them all arguing, I began to think about other possible options. We not only had Lucifer to face, but we also had to stop the walkers. We not only needed power, but we needed speed too. And that was when it hit me. There was one person currently walking the earth that had all those things. "Guys, what if there was someone who could help?"

Dean shot me a look of confusion. "Who?"

"Kol."

"The guy who's trying to kill us?!"

"Well, yeah. But if we got him on side, we'd be able to take on both threats without having to split up."

"I'm sorry, but have you lost your mind? He's a crazy vampire who will rip our heads off the second he sees us."

"I think we might be able to convince him to help. If he knew the whole world was at stake, he'd help us."

"How do you know?" Sam asked, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Because as twisted as he is, he once tried to save the world. The last thing he wants is for it to end."

"Alright, well how the hell do we find him?" Dean sighed.

"We don't. We let him find us."
