Chapter 12: Should I escape?

'WHAT? What do you know, there is nothing to know.' I said with a straight face.

'There sure is bro, I heard you and Em talking about breaking Anaya's engagement, some plan that Em and Adi are making.' Rudra stared at me and folded his hands in-front of his chest.

'No, it's nothing.' I said, trying to find another topic to divert the conversation.

'Come on Dev, I heard and I am quite sure there is something, and since you are not telling me, I'll ask Anaya only, wait let me call her.' He moved his hand, and since Anaya was standing outside, she saw through the small window that Rudra gestured her to come in.

'Hey Rudra, how are you feeling?' Anaya asked as she entered Rudra's room.

'Hey Anaya, I am fine, how have you been?' he asked her and eyed me.

I shook my head. You seriously can't be doing this!, I thought to myself.

'I am fine as well, you gestured me to come in. Is everything all right?'

'Oh, yes, I just wanted to know about Ranbir and did you guys p--'

'He just wanted to know have you guys finalized a date fro your engagement.' I cut Rudra before he said anything.

'Well, yes, we have, I just told you Dev, you could have told him.' Anaya said.

'I know, I did, but he wanted to hear from you.' I said as I glared at Rudra.

'Oh, so the engagement is on 14th February and as it goes, you both are invited, how could you guys be not invited.' She said with a smile

'Of course Anaya, congratulations! Now I would have hugged you, but since I am not supposed to show any immediate reaction.' Rudra said and shrugged.

'Aww, come here.' Anaya said as she came and gave Rudra a hug.

'Drama-queen.' I muttered under my breath.

'Ok, Rudra, you take rest. I'll leave now, I have some work.' Anaya said as she waved us bye and left.

'Ahem, so?' Rudra asked breaking my attention, which was focused of Anaya's parting figure.

'Let me call Emma.' I said as I went outside and motioned Emma to come inside.

'He heard us talking about "The Plan", we have to involve him.' I said as I took a seat beside Rudra.

'Oh, cool. New mind, new ideas.' Em said as she began narrating everything that had happened till now.

'Wicked, holy crap, I didn't knew that Ranbir was such a douche-bag, I will definitely make him pay for trying to hurt Anaya.' Rudra said sitting more alert in his bed.

'Ahem, why would you make him pay?' I asked

'Come on man, she's like a sister to me, of course not to you, but I care about her, after you left she used to be my wing-woman in the parties that mom dad used to take me to. I would have died of boredom had she not been here.' Rudra said

'Okay okay, so now are you gonna tell me what is the plan? You and Adi you both have been quite secretive about it. I am doubting it.'

'Sorry babe, I won't tell you just now, I'll tell you when the time is right. Now Rudra, you please rest. We'll see you tomorrow. Dev, let him rest.' Em ordered as she left the room.

'Hey, you really like her a lot, don't you?' Rudra asked as I was leaving the room.

'Maybe' I replied and left the room.
