Chapter 11: Welcome Back

The next few days were gone in a blink, our every second was spent into praying for Rudra's speedy recovery. I was spending most of my time in hospital, also i was trying to know about "The Plan" from Em and Adi both, but they were tight lipped and always said that I should try and find ways to talk to Anaya. Anaya and I talked almost every day, she would either send me memes to lighten my mood, or either cute animal posts, which were sure to brighten my day, we even started our snapchat streaks, while I sent her random pics like that of hospital's water cooler, Rudra's machines she sent me her goddess like selfies, how can someone look so cute and hot at the same time i.e. in the morning, after waking up.

It was mid January, when I was sitting in Rudra's room, going over some files from office, that Dad had asked me to go through. After Rudra is well, I'll join the company to give dad some time off. I was just sitting there reading about the sales of our products, when I saw movement in my periphery, I looked up and saw Rudra trying to move his hand.

'RUDRA!' I shouted as I leapt on my feet and rushed towards him. His eyes were open and he was trying to move his hand.

'Rudra, my brother, are you okay? DOCTOR!!' I shouted for a doctor and in a moment Dr. Mehra rushed into the room along with nurses and one another doctor.

'Doctor, he just opened his eyes, he's moving his hands, is he fine?' I informed the doctor of what I saw.

'Dev, please wait outside while we check-up on him. Please, let us do our work.' Dr. Mehra said as he escorted me out, the other doctor was shining a light in Rudra's eyes as Dr. Mehra closed the door.

I quickly called Mom and Dad and gave them the news, next I called Em and then Anaya.

Within next half an hour, everyone was gathered around Rudra's room.

'Are you sure you saw him moving his hands?' Anaya asked

'Yes Anaya, I was reading some files, when I saw him move his hand, I rushed over and saw his eyes opened, and I quickly called for the doctor.' I told them of what I saw.

An excitement filled me as I saw Rudra open his eyes, tear were welling up in my eyes as the door to Rudra's room opened and the team of doctors and nurses stepped out.

'Mehra, is he fine?' Dad asked as soon as he saw Dr. Mehra.

'Yes Raj, he's fine. He has woken up, he is asleep right now, his basic skills might need some retouching, other than that, he looks absolutely fine. He might have to stay a week or so, so that we are sure there is no other damage.' Dr. Mehra told us more about is condition.

'Doctor, can we meet him?' I asked him.

'Only 2 person at a time, try not to make he room crowded. You can meet him as soon as he wakes.' Dr. Mehra patted my shoulder and left.

'Thank you God, Dev, go and quickly offer 1 kg besan ladoos in the nearby temple.' My mom said ecstatically as happy tears fell from her eyes.

'Come on aunty, Rudra is fine now, please don't cry now.' Em said as she wiped mom's tears.

'Em, beta, these are happy tears, my son is finally awake. I am so happy.' My mom said as Em enveloped her in a hug.

'Is anyone gonna accompany me?' I asked.

'Nope, I am gonna stay here with aunty so that she doesn't cry anymore.' Em said as my mom wrapped her arm around Em

'Okay, fine, steal my mother.' I mocked as I left for the temple,alone.

As I was about to leave the building, Anaya came beside me.

'Hey, I'll accompany you.' she said as we made our way towards the car.
