"I swear we thought you were right behind us the whole time! We didn't realize you weren't there until we got to the restaurant!" Shouted Namjoon in defense.
"And you didn't try to find me after you realized I wasn't with you?!" Taehyung responded.
"We were shit-faced! What do you want from me?!"
Taehyung sighed as Namjoon started laughing.
"Fine, fine. Stop pouting." He hit Taehyung on the back "I'll buy you coffee after class to make it up to you, I'm meeting a friend there anyway."
"And before class, too?"
"You drink too much coffee." He looked at Taehyung, searching for some kind of response. Nothing. "Fine." He groaned.
"How else do you expect me to do my assignments if I'm running on four hours of sleep?"
"I don't know, maybe sleep more and you wouldn't be running on four hours of sleep??"
"Oh Namjoon, as naive as ever, I see."
Namjoon sighed, knowing Taehyung was wrong.
"Anyway, who's this new friend you have? You're not gonna leave our group for a new one, are you?"
"As much as I'd like to, I would never think of leaving you idiots. I met this guy in the library, like, all the way back in October. We didn't hang out much before but I'm trying to get in touch with him again and develop an actual friendship. His name's Jimin."
"Isn't that a girl name?" Taehyung scoffed while holding the door open for Namjoon, the warm scent of coffee blowing into their faces.
"Don't say that to him when you meet him, he'll hate you for the rest of the time you two know each other."
"Now, just because you told me that, I'm gonna say that to him."
"Well that's just being stupid."
Taehyung took his seat, knowing Namjoon already knew his order. A mocha of any kind. He hated the taste of coffee, but he needed to stay awake for his assignments so any coffee he drank had to taste as little like coffee as possible.
While Namjoon was at the counter, Taehyung's mind began to wander. He thought about anything and everything that crossed his mind, but the one that lingered the longest was the activities of the night prior. Specifically that part with the strange man, and the sudden kiss. The rough, yet tender kiss. It wasn't only the kiss, either. The stranger was very... Taehyung couldn't think of anyway to describe him.
"Pretty." He finally decided, nodding to himself.
"You okay?" Namjoon's voice quickly pulled him back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, yeah..." Taehyung replied "Just thinking."
Namjoon made a questionable expression, but didn't question him further.
"Did anything interesting happen while you were looking for us?" Namjoon asked, adjusting his jacket. He opened the door for Taehyung as the cold, sharp air hit their faces, making them both shiver and mentally curse the cold weather.
"Um...Yerin was making out with some guy in an alley." Taehyung replied in a casual tone as he passed through the door while taking a sip from his drink. He grimaced at how hot it was. He passed the drink between his two hands as it was too hot to hold for long, then eventually deciding to simply holding it with his sleeve.
"Oh shit man! I'm so sorry, are you okay?"
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine. Honestly, it's nice to finally get her off my back."
