•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•The team arrived back in Quantico at around nine thirty at night. "Is anyone up for a drink?" Derek asked everyone. "I shall take you up on that." Emily laughed.
"I have to get home so I can take Jack off of Jessica's hands." Hotch gave the team a small, but rare smile. "I need to see him soon!! Henry too!"
"Speaking of Henry, Will told me he is up and waiting for me." JJ smiled before grabbing her things. "Tell him I miss my favorite boy!" Lila called as JJ walked out to the elevator.
Lila found Derek, Spencer, and Devin looking at her, acting hurt by the comment. "Okay, Jack and Henry trump all." She shrugged, agreeing to go with Derek and Emily.
Penelope, Devin, and Spencer went along. The six of them said goodnight to Hotch and Rossi before leaving.
"Man, you sure you don't need to go rest? You just got shot." Derek said to Devin who chuckled, placing his hand over the wound.
"That would probably be the best." He replied. "I'll drive you." Lila requested, not knowing if he was fit enough to drive yet. Devin smiled at the girl and agreed to let her drive.
"I'll follow, give you a ride home since I assume you'll be in his car." Spencer said, hugging his daughter quickly.
"Your keys, sir." Lila held her hand out and Devin reluctantly gave her his keys. "Let's go." She giggled softly.
"I'm just saying. You better not crash my car, Lils. It's like my baby." She couldn't tell if he was serious or not. "First, I will not crash your car. Second, your baby?" Lila laughed as the rest of the team stepped into the elevator.
"Don't laugh at me, Lils! It's true." Devin tried not to laugh, the corners of his mouth turned up. She put her hands up in fake surrender. "Laugh! I know you want to!"
"Stop flirting." Emily smiled at the two, earning a playful slap from Lila. "Shut up, Em." Lila felt embarrassed now, she wasn't trying to flirt, or was she?
Stepping out of the building, Lila and Devin strolled to Devin's car. "You're gonna have to be a GPS for me." Lila laughed, setting her things in the backseat and climbing into the drivers seat.
Devin sat beside her in the passenger seat and she started to leave their workplace. "Turn right and go straight for a bit. I'll tell you when to turn."
Constantly, Lila stole glances at him. "What happened on the jet, Dev?" Devin sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Clara texted me. She told me how our mom- turn left here, she told me how our mom is starting to get violent with her."
Lila tucked a piece of stray hair behind her ear. "She's okay, right?" She couldn't help but worry. Though Lila had never met Clara, Devin was basically apart of her family which meant his family was hers as well.
He nodded slightly. "As far as I know, she's fine." Lila could see that he blamed himself for this.
"Here's my place." She pulled into the driveway and grabbed her things once she parked. They both got out of the car, seeing that Spencer had parked behind them at the end of the driveway.
"Dev, you can't blame yourself. This isn't your fault." Lila rubbed his arm gently. "I should be there for her, Lils."
Devin's arms wrapped around Lila's waist, pulling her closer. "It's okay." She placed her arms around his neck.
"I'll help you as much as I can, Dev." Lila inhaled the scent of his cologne as she pulled away from the hug. "Thanks, Lils." He smiled slightly.
"Here you go, sir." She chuckled, dropping his keys in his hand. "See you tomorrow." He said and he walked to unlock his door.
"See you, Dev." Lila slung her bag over her shoulder and sauntered toward her dads car.
"Is he okay?" Spencer asked once his daughter slid inside the old car. "Yeah, something with his family and well, he just got shot."
Spencer started driving to the apartment complex the two lived in, deciding against going to get drinks with the rest of the team. Lila was a floor above her dad, they both enjoyed the feeling of safety since they lived close. "You like him, don't you?" Spencer smiled.
"Not you too!" Lila exclaimed laughing and her father just shrugged. "No, I don't. We're just friends." Spencer just shook his head, not believing a thing his daughter said.
"Dad, you know the rule!" He rolled his eyes. "Yes, I know. No profiling each other. Emily and JJ wanted me to ask you about it, so technically I didn't profile you."
"Who else thinks I like him?" Spencer laughed. "Morgan and Garcia, definitely. I don't know about Hotch and Rossi."
"Just.." she paused, making her dad look at her. "Just get home, I'm tired." After a couple minutes, Spencer parked in the lot of the complex. He slid his satchel over his head as Lila stepped out of the car.
Spencer snaked his arm around his daughter's shoulder and walked with her up to the floor she lived on. Lila pulled out her keys and unlocked the door to her apartment.
She turned to Spencer and hugged him, he planted a kiss on her head. "Goodnight, I love you." He said, keeping a hand on her shoulder.
"I love you too. Goodnight, dad." They smiled at each other and Spencer took the stairs to his floor.
Lila walked into her apartment, locking the door behind her. She slipped off her shoes and set her purse on the counter. She found leftover pasta David had made her the night before which she heated up and ate.
She washed her plate in the sink after she was finished. Lila shut off the all her lights and shuffled to her room, climbing into bed and falling asleep.
