Elliot was on his feet again, walking slowly toward his captain's desk, this time his curiosity was not charged with anger but with faith and hope; the two things he lacked lately.

"Li- O-Olivia? I thought she did-."

Before he could finish his statement, Don was on the other side of the desk and in his hand was a paper. It bore coffee stains and  handwriting that was unmistakably Olivia's.

The paper was heavily creased, as if it had been opened and closed many times—contemplating this very moment, deciding a future. Don had thought about it. All this time he held the key to where she was.

Elliot's emotions toward his superior officer were mixed at that moment; anger for keeping him away, but gratefulness for finally giving him a chance.

"She needs you."

It was nice to hear this from someone else; reassurance.

"I hope so," he took the piece of paper from Don's hand and tried to adjust to her handwriting once more.

"I know so," Don's stress on his words caused Elliot to look up.
Elliot saw it in his eyes, he had been conflicted either to honour her wishes or do what he knew was right. He forgave him.

He focused his attention back on the paper and found himself reading aloud,

"'#23 Halibut Point Road
Blue and grey house between
a white house and red house
Please only use it for emergencies.'"

"Has she had any 'emergencies'?"

Don shook his head, "I'll give you a month...yes, a month...tell me if you need more, go get her, El,"

"I can't thank you enough." Elliot breathes out, still in shock at what he held in his hand.

Don reached forward and enveloped him in a bear hug after they separated, he watched as Elliot breezed past his colleagues as he ran out of the door.

Rebecca awoke to light snoring, she kept her eyes closed taking in the soft rhythmic breathing pattern. She found her self silently praying for it to be Olivia next to her—finally sleeping, but she knew that it was too good to be true. Small, cold feet pressed against her skin at the base of her back, she slowly turned and swung his feet onto the bed.
A low, almost inaudible moan escaped his lips as Rebecca pulled the thick blanket up to his neck. His face displayed a mixture of confusion and relief, his eyebrows were slightly furrowed and his nose was raised slightly as if he was waking up. She reached up and swiped a thick brown curl of hair from his mouth, she traced his cheek and watched his expression instantly changed. She placed a kiss on his cheek, and ease her way off the bed.

The floorboards creaked slightly under her weight as she made her way to the bedroom balcony which overlooked the rest of the house.

Olivia sat on the kitchen counter surrounded by a sea of orange pill bottles. The moonlight streamed through the curtain and provided Olivia's skin with a light blue tint. She looked so sick Rebecca thought, sicker than she was, sicker than she needed to be.

But she was stubborn.

Her hands trembled as she picked another bottle and opened it.
"You would have made a horrible detective," Olivia purred fully aware of her presence.

"And that's why I'm an OB/GYN," Rebecca laughed as she caught Olivia's eye.

Olivia popped two capsules into her mouth and took a swig of her water. Rebecca waited until she swallowed and open her eyes again.

"Li-."

"You're not going to convince me, you know that," Olivia offered, knowing what was coming next.

"Fine," she sighed. "I guess there is only one person who could...might just have to call him up..." Rebecca teased as she made her way down the stairs.

Olivia's hurried footsteps thumped loudly against the wooden floor as she raced to meet Rebecca at the stairs, "You wouldn't..." She whispered, placing her hands on each side of the staircase.

"From what I was told, you two were bffffffls," she prodded, "I can't see the problem with calling an old friend of yours."

By the look on Rebecca's face, Olivia knew she was not bluffing. No, she wasn't a detective but she made it her hobby to know everyone's business, and in fact she knew exactly where to find out his address, phone number and much more. Much, much more.

Olivia sighed and spun around sitting on the last step of the stairs, she patted the space beside her where her friend stood and said, "We have..." She checked her watch. "Two hours before Quinn is up so we might as well start now," Rebecca retrieved a blanket from the couch, then sat down next to Olivia. She draped it over the front of their bodies and leaned onto her.

"The day after the incident he totally ignored me...He was angry at me, he didn't say anything—hell he didn't utter a word to me but I knew...everything had changed."

I've been really brainstorming on this story and I have a few twists. It's picking up soon! I promise!
