Episode 21

(Yoolie's pov)

The borders are still open and I see my people leaving everyday. The walls were even frozen and seeming to be breaking weakly which makes me worried.
"I'm just saying, you should put the empire on lockdown." My assassin says as he stood by me which only made the pressure worse for me. If I shut down the whole empire, the people that are trying to leave will be angry. The people trying to get in will be annoyed which are mostly merchants trying to do their rounds. Just means one less empire to sell to.
"Take the time to think about it." Fennic, my royal assassin says to me which I snapped back at him with an annoyed temper. "You think I'm Not?" He bows in apology with a worried expression on his face. "My apologies." I sighed and told him to stand up straight. But as I was about to say something, a general comes in. I looked towards him, expecting updates. "The princess was spotted in the dark forest going towards amden!" He informed which my eyes widened and I snapped my fingers. "Go get her, NOW BEFORE KENJI DOES!" He bows and leaves the room, yelling at guards to get there quickly and to take a short route there.
I tell the maids to get their rooms ready and the chefs to get to work on making food.
Finally we might have found them.

(Eugene's pov)

The sun was setting quickly and i was working with the king along side him to getting guards to escort all of us out of the kingdom later tonight. But I had to get back to her quickly before anything goes wrong.
"Thank you sir for your help, we both will appreciate it." I bowed to the king, he looked at me and nodded with a fist to his chest. "Its an honour to grant a helping hand to an ally in need."
With that we both leave each other and two guards have escorted me to the inn, walking inside I see jack is no where in sight. Maybe giving y/n her dinner for the night. Hopefully he's filled up himself, cause I've filled up on most food I could get my hands on. I walked down the hall and see a crack of the door was open, looking inside I see Jack sitting by her side and keeping her company while she slept. I walked inside and took the metal empty platter and left the room, putting the kitchen ware in the sink for them to be washed, I opened a window to look out and everything seemed to have been calm for now. We most likely need to leave now so that we can get a head start then kenji.
"We're heading out?" I hear Jack behind me say, I turned around and nodded and put my assassin hood up. "Go wake her and bring her out to the horses so we can just get going." He nods and goes back to her room which I just go to pay the inn keeper and get going quick and to let the guards know we're going to head out.

(Jack's pov)

I shake y/n awake gently causing her to open her eyes slowly and look at me with worried eyes but I just nod and gently lift her up out of bed. She seems to just be getting weaker and weaker which is making me more worried for her. I feel like the medicine isn't working at all but we have to keep giving it a shot and serve her more tea spoons.
As I'm about to walk out of the room with her, setting her down on her feet and putting her arm around me so that she has someone to hold her up Eugene runs inside with a sword drawn giving us a stern look which made me act quick and slam the door shut, locking it and setting y/n down by the window. I looked out to see royal stallions stomping in the kingdom, I also see the black haired prince kenji on his horse with an angry look on his face.
"Kenji is here?" Y/n asked with concern on her face, i nodded and frantically looked around the room to find a weapon to protect us both. "Hey, my dagger." Y/n points to her boot and I see a dagger placed inside the boots she wasn't wearing. I grabbed it quick and held it close. Y/n reaches up and shuts the curtains so they can look inside the room.
"Where's Eugene?" She asks me but I shrugged. It made me worried to as to where he was but I'm sure he's okay wherever he was.
I hope he is.

(Eugene's pov)

The kingdom was being bombarded with kenji's guards other known as his fucking pests with the main pest himself here. The king rushed out and saw kenji himself there and walked up to him. I couldn't hear what they were saying since I was hiding in a bush far off where they were but near the inn. I snuck behind a guard and stabbed him in the back and dragged him in the bush i was in, I climbed on top of the inn and squated down just watching them negotiate which I assume isn't going very swell and it looks I'm right. There was a crusade. I jumped down and fought along side the king against kenji but somehow me and kenji locked eyes momentarily and he jumped off his horse and draws his sword with a grin on his face.
"Lets dance." I spun my sword in hand and stood my ground with a chuckle leaving my throat. "Gladly." Our swords collided with a sharp sound as we pushed against each other. The pressure was released from our swords and I took my swing which he quickly slid back and tried to swing down at me legs, I jumped up and he missed.
I sliced as his head but he ducked before I could even have a chance to slice it off. Our swords clashed against each other, he seemed to be just as trained as I was but I was quicker then he was. I spin on my heel and take my swing and I down miss, I struck his chest which he was sent back with a grunt as he held his bleeding chest.
I run behind him and kicked him down to his knees as I stunned him with that hard blow but he swung his sword to aim for my legs but I jumped once again and kicked his back falling to the snowy ground. He groaned and stood up quickly, the blood from his chest coated the snow.
"Good luck getting out of this storm." The wind was harder then ever before, the snow flew from the ground as it joined with the wind and blinded us from seeing a further distance. I hold my arm to my face and rushed into the inn for shelter, hoping he didn't see me.
I ran into the room and saw y/n and Jack sitting there with shocked faces. "We have to go c'mon!" They nodded and Jack helped her up and out of the inn and to out horses. The wind was louder outside making it hard to hear each other. We got to out horses and the guards who escorted me here helped us there and put y/n on hero's back while I get on with no problem. Jack got on his own horse and nodded at me. The guards got other horses from the stables and signalled for us to go.
We take off out of the gates with enemy horses chasing after us. The guards protected us as best they could, having been armed with bows and shooting at who ever was behind us. Y/n hugged my waist tightly to keep from falling off and what I can assume was from fear. One guard was ahead of us, turned around and signalled for us to go off ahead so we did and we never saw them again as the fog of snow swallowed them, they're shadows were fighting off the enemies after us.
As we were riding quickly ahead we suddenly came across horsemen and guards. I pulled out a sword but one took off his warm cloth from his face.
"We're the knights of rouwell! Come, we have shelter for You!" He shouted over the loud howling storm, looking at Jack he seemed to trust him. "Lead the way!" He nods and gets on his horse and we follow him and his men to where they were taking us.
We then saw the giant palace of rouwell which held the empress herself inside. The doors opened and we saw herself greeting us inside.
"Come in! You're safe here!"
And came in we did.
