Episode 37

(Y/n's pov)

"What?!" They both said in sync with shocked tones in their voices. "Why are you shocked Eugene?" I asked and he just stuttered out. "W..well don't you want to fix all of this? Why the sudden change?" He asked with concern and I just hummed. "You were right. He's not going to lighten up. So I'm..." I paused for a moment and Jack looked at me with sadness. "I'm going home." Eugene stood up and protested. "No! As you said we have to fix this!" I glared at him slightly. "Why do you suddenly care? You wanted to leave!" Jack put a hand on eugene's shoulder and looked at me. "He's had an eye opener after you passed out in the snow. I see that now he doesn't want to give up either." Jack smiled and put his arm around eugene and eugene put his arm around Jack. I looked at the two and smiled softly but I slowly faded away and i looked out the window. "I have to get home. I've been gone for too long and someone needs to maintain order." I say, eugene and Jack look at each other and looked back at me. "Alright..." Jack said and Eugene sighed, looking at us both. "Are you serious? We really came here just to give up?" He asked and I sighed. "Look eugene, I understand it but that's my home and i need to maintain order. Who knows who's running it down there." Eugene sighed once again and nodded. "When are we leaving?" Jack asked and I looked at him.
"Tonight."
The sun was starting to set and we started to pack up some things the medical building offered. Sam was still in the stables and we were told by soldiers that b/n was giving us a carriage to take with us back to damthril. Suddenly as they were attaching Sam and another horse to the carriage, i see ren coming out towards me. "How are you doing y/n?" He asked sweetly and i just chuckled and shrugged. "It is what it is I guess. It's upsetting that was my first impression on my brother." Ren awed and hugged me tightly. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm talking to him about it. Don't you worry." He smiled, booping my nose with a wink. I just chuckled and looked down. "Thank you, but if he doesn't want to then he doesn't want to." Ren did a pouty lip, we heard that the horsemen was ready to get going. "You should get going." Ren said and hugged me once again. I then left to the carriage and Jack went into the carriage and eugene looked at me and held my hand, helping me up in the carriage and I sat down next to ren and Eugene went in after me and shut the door. "Get going!" Eugene ordered and the rider nodded and let the horses go on and out of the kingdom.

(B/n's pov)

I watched them leave from the window and ren comes in, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Why?" He asked and I turned around putting my hands on his hips. "Why What?" He gives me the look and I just sighed, looking away from him. "I just...didn't want to fail again." I tell him and ren caressed my cheek. "B/n Its time to let go of the past just this once. What your father did to us was wrong of course but right now this is about y/n. I'm sorry to say this honey but y/n needed you this time, she needed you more then ever and....you failed. Again." I felt my heart stop when he said this and I started to tear up, looking at ren as the tears roll down. "But I guess it's over for you now. You can continue sitting around, protecting dyrium, and drinking wine." Ren says and leaves the room, leaving me to look out the window and watching them leave back to their home. 

(Yoolie's pov)

The riots started, the anger had gotten worse. People were trying to get out of the empire that bad. Many have died mostly from the cold. I tried my best to push them back and get them to leave but they refused.
"Miss yoolie! We need reinforcements!" My royal guard said and I looked at my angry people.
"I need all troops! Malitia! Anything to push them BACK!" We did that, sent a messenger telling anyone could fight along side us to push back the angry people. Soon enough, reinforcements showed up and Stood along side us. It was me against the people.
"On my Mark!" I shouted to my men over the screaming sounds of people rioting in front of me, getting in my face. Some even tried to hurt me but they were taken care of, arrested and are on route to put on trial.
"READY...!"
I shouted as I looked in the eyes of many people with apologetic ones.
"AND...!"
They're anger were starting to turn to fear as i was saying this.
"PUSH!" I shouted and with the butts of our weapons pushed them back violently. Hitting them in their stomachs and some on their heads. We warned them several times and failed to follow order.
They were falling back from the borders as we hit them back.
"GET BACK!" We shouted at them as they tried to push us as well but only ended up on shackles as we pulled them in. Any resistance will be put under arrest. It pained me to have to do this but I have no other choice. I expected this to happen. The council didn't believe me, they ignored my pleas, they kept ordering me to close the borders yet the storm has already reached outside of my control.
"BACK!" I shouted and hit a man with my staff. He fell to the ground in pain, I helped him up though and looked in his eyes. "Get out of here." I say menacingly trying to scare him even though i was a malicious person. He nodded and ran off the other way. The riot started to die down as people began running off away from the borders. But there were people sitting down and began their peaceful protests.
"Please! Go home for your sake and mine!" I begged but they refused. Even though a blizzard is going off around us. "Empress! I have a child as home! We need to leave!" A woman said and I looked at her and walked forward. "A child? You have a child you need to take care of and your HERE?! THERE IS A CHILD AT HOME! YOU ESPECIALLY NEED TO GO HOME!" I shouted at her and I looked at my men. "I will not have this rebellion." We did what we could do and we hit them with the butt of our weapons and we chased them out of the perimeter. "Empress, we must go to the grand palace." My assassin said and that we did.
"What do you mean no?!" I said as I looked at the emperors in front of me. "We can't send troops to you, we need them for our benefit." And empress said to me and I looked at the others.
"But I have riots happening at my empire! At the border! You suggested I close the borders, I do what I'm told and now you're not giving me what I NEED!?" I say angrily as I pound my fist on the round table.
"We would have to make documents, we don't have enough money for that." An emperor said in his defense but I didn't believe him. Making a document to send troops was easy and the most cheapest thing to do in this age. Hell you could do it for free.
"Overlord?" I looked over at him and he was his fingers intertwined with each other. "I'm sorry yoolie, if they say no, then I say no as well." I stood up and looked at everyone in this God forsaken room. "You all maybe the most powerful rulers of the land, but when the smaller empires need help, you stand by and watch them suffer. Even if they ask for help, you watch them suffer. This isn't right. This isn't the right way to go about it. This is ignorance, arrogance, and selfishness. My overlord, I'm sorry to say. But you do not help these lands. You do not defend. You sit back and watch like everyone else does. This is favoritism. I will no longer be returning to these sessions." With all that being said, leaving them in their state of shock I left the grand palace and back to my own empire in absolute anger about how It happened and how it all ended.
