Cameron picked me up the next morning and drove me to the airport. For the whole ride I gazed out the window, taking in every last bit of the scenery we passed. When we pulled up to the drop-off area, Cameron turned to me.

"It was nice having you here," He said, "You should come back sometime."

"Maybe I will," I said, grinning.

"One more question."

"Shoot."

"Really, how do you do it? There's no way this is natural talent; you profile like a maniac. Is it witchcraft? I know Harry Potter is set near you; you can tell me if it's witchcraft. I won't tell anyone."

I laughed. "No witchcraft; just my brain."

"You're nuts."

"If saying it's witchcraft makes you feel better, then by all means. But what I do is 100% my own smarts."

"Get outta here."

"If you insist." I got out of the car and took my suitcase from the backseat.

"No, wait," Cameron laughed as he got out after me. "That was a joke. Wait a sec—"

I turned to face him. He walked around the car to meet me.

"It was nice meeting you," he stuck out his hand to shake.

I shook it. "Likewise." My phone beeped; my plane was taking off in two hours.

"You need to go?"

"Yeah." I looked up at him. "See you sometime."

"Keep in touch?"

I handed him my business card. He smiled.

"Bon Voyage." He said.

"Merci," I replied, and walked away. A few feet later, I stopped and turned back. "By the way," I said to Cameron, who was still standing outside of his car, looking at me. "I hate Harry Potter. Like, I absolutely loathe the series. Makes for some awful tourists."

Cameron let out a big laugh. I smiled back and turned again towards the automatic doors.

I made my way through the airport and to my gate in perfect time. I boarded the plane and made myself comfortable in my seat. We took off minutes later. Before the plane pierced the clouds, I took one last moment to gaze at the beautiful American landscape below before it, like the case I helped solve, faded to only a recent memory.

My job was done.
