Chapter Seventeen

Here Kavya was sitting infront of Sanjeev sipping tea she felt so stupid having to ask him for help "Fine Kavya I will help you fight this case it will be good for my image plus I don't like Rajveer" Sanjeev said with a serious expression 

"Really thank you so much Sanjeev" He smiled and drank his tea "I have to say Kavya I was hurt when you didn't turn up in the mandhir I was dying to see you in your desginer lengha but instead Aman got lucky tell me the truth about Aman Kavya" Kavya was hoping Sanjeev wouldn't ask but she had to tell him Sanjeev still wanted Kavya 

"I didn't leave you Aman kidnapped me to take revenge on my family especially Rajveer I'm sorry Sanjeev you must have been so insulted by me" 

"I was Kavya I felt rejected reading your so called note you left behind well I guess since Aman only married you for revenge you guys would have a divorce soon" That word divorce brought Kavya to realise soon she will be divorced by Aman Sanjeev was waiting for an answer and Kavya took a deep breathe in and spoke "Yeah soon will would be divorced"

Sanjeev smiled hearing he sort of still had a chance with Kavya "So....do I stand a chance" Sanjeev causally asked Kavya widened her eyes knowing Sanjeev was still willing to marry a divorced women who once he almost married 

Kavya sat down beside Sanjeev and grabbed both of hus hands "I'm sorry Sanjeev your a great guy but even though Aman kidnapped me I still fell in love with him even if he doesn't love me back I will always love him and I don't want you to be like me and accept the fact you can't love or be with anyone else your a good guy Sanjeev and any girl will be lucky to have you but not me because I'm not worthy for you you have a big heart for accepting me again and fighting this case but I can't lead you on because I only love Aman and always will"

"Wow Kavya you rejected me twice now I guess your  right I shouldn't be like you and accept the fact I can't love or be with anyone else but you" There was an awkward silence taht filled the room 

"I have reviewed Amaya's case and convince Meera to testify against Rajveer on the bases of sexual abuse, forced marriage and domestic violence this time Rajveer will go in for a long time" Sanjeev said getting rid of the awkward silence 

"Thank you so much if there anything I can do for you Sanjeev please don't hesitate and let me know" He smirked and looked at Kavya and laughed "There is one thing you can find me a women just like you who won't ditch me at the mandhir this time" kavya laughed and patted Sanjeev's arm "I can't promise but I will try" 

"Thanks Kavya I will see you tomorrow in court at nine don't be late and keep encouraging Amaya the court isn't going to be a nice place for her but for justice she has to do it I will try my best Kavya I see you" He said hugging Kavya and left the coffee house Kavya was relieved Sanjeev agreed to help she panicked when Meera called and told Sanjeev everything she was even more surprised when he agreed and asked for the case details he added the evidence to make the case stronger 

Kavya hhad a good feeling about this court case tomorrow she rushed home to Amaya who was a nervous wreck having a break down 

All night Kavya, Meera and auntie encouraged Amaya. The morning came and they were standing outside the court room as they were about to go in Kavya pulled Amaya back and hugged her "I just want you to know what ever happens today I'm proud of you and don't forget your never alone you always have me so go in there Amaya and fight for your right" Amaya wiped her tears that started to form and nodded and they both walked into the court room 

It had been several hours in the court room they took at least four breaks since they started the defence lawyer was ruthless he pointed a finger at Amaya's character but Sanjeev wasn't stupid either he was prepared to counter back on everything the defence lawyer. Amaya had testfied against Rajveer Meera also testified showing her medical reports and evidence she had on Rajveer she also showed the evidence she had indeed requested for a divorce  

After great time going throught the evdience and the arguements the judge called both parties back Amaya, Meera, auntie and Kavya sat down holding each others hands hoping for a decision in their favour. The judge started talking and Kavya's heart was beating so fast to the point where her could push out of her chest. After the long speech the judge gave he told the outcomee of the case 

"Looking at all the evidence and arguements the court has reached to a firm decision all evidence proves Rajveer has committed not just one crime but multiple crimes for raping Miss Amaya Kapoor Rajveer is sentence to twenty-five years in jails plus the claims made by Mrs Meera Gupta also prove Rajveer as guilty for domestic violence and sexual abuse towards Mrs Meera Gupta Rajveer is sentenced to another seventeen years in jail his total sentence comes down to forty-two tears in jail without bail" the judge said 

The girls jumped up screaming in happiness they hugged each other while watching Rajveer get arrested. Kavay went over to Sanjeev and hugged him as tight as she could "Thank you so much Sanjeev" he just hugged her back and then went over to Amaya and Meera and shook thier hands "Well done ladies and thank you this case is going to look good on my portfolio" he said acting all stuck up again Kavya chuckled seeing Sanjeev being his usually stuck up self 

"I hope you happy now" Kayva turned around to see her parents standing there she wasn't exactly happy to see them either but she did still miss them sometimes "I wish I never gave birth to a backstabbing bitch like you" Kavya stayed quiet "You can live with your stupid family because your dead for us for real this time Rajveer's suffereing will be your fault we will always blame you" Kavya father said rudely 

"No Mr Gupta your son is responsible for his own actions and he should pay the price and he will don't blame others for your not so perfect son and regarding me being dead to you guys I think it for the best I won't to act if I love you people anymore....So have a nice day oh tell Rajveer have a good time in jail" 

"You bitch" Her mother said before leaving Kavya just scoffed and walked up to Amaya and hugged her again 

"Thank you bhabhi" Amaya cried in Kavya's embrace they were tears of happiness 

They had won
