It was a cloudy day, dark and gloomy, possible showers ready to rain down on the city. A day that most people may find to be a disappointment, but not the redhead.
Sitting beside her window, a mug of steaming coffee held in her hands, long hair pinned up into a messy bun and a pair of glasses set upon her nose, Sadie enjoyed the view. She enjoyed days like these, the rainy weather in autumn, despite many people finding them to put a damper in their day. The endless grey skies, the small dewy raindrops falling against the glass, the pitterpatter against the wet pavement and cement. It was one of her favorite things to watch, one of her favorite parts of nature.
To watch the rain fall upon the city sparked up a warm feeling within her. It almost seemed like the rain was trying to wash away the dirtiness of the city, the parts that were unappealing, the bits that needed to shine. Lending a helping hand, it seemed, in her eyes.
Her phone buzzed from the kitchen counter and she released a deep sigh. She hoped it wasn't her agent sending a message about another upcoming gig, especially since the two assumed she could have a whole week off from modeling to just simply enjoy herself. Well, enjoy herself as much as she could.
Holding the mug in one hand, she checked her phone with the other. She was surprised to see that it wasn't her agent, but at the same time, she wasn't surprised to find that it was Caleb.
Caleb:
rooftop of the building. meet me there in 5 minutes.Sadie rolled her eyes at the brief message, not bothering to send a message back as she just placed her phone into the pocket of her "fashionable" sweats that had also been gifted to her from a clothing company, setting her half empty mug of coffee onto the kitchen counter. A pair of comfortable grey and pale blue Adidas sneakers and a matching windbreaker was all she needed before heading out of her apartment, climbing up the stairs to the rooftop.
Once she stepped out into the fresh, crisp air, she took a deep breath in, shutting her eyes softly as she let the door swing shut behind her. This weather was truly something she appreciated. Opening her eyes, she took a glance around the surrounding area, finding Caleb leaning against the ledge of the rooftop with his back turned to her, just looking over the area below them.
With slow steps, she walked closer to him. His short hair was covered by a camp green bucket hat, and he wore a black windbreaker paired with dark jeans. Tilting her head to the side, she decided to ask the question that was poking at her.
