From the moment that his particular text message was received, a lot of thought was given into her answer on his invitation. Of course, Sadie accepted, because she didn't want to disappoint Caleb. But, truthfully, she was worried.

She worried deeply about how she would only be bothersome to his other friends. She worried that she wouldn't feel comfortable around anyone, like usual. She worried that he would leave her on her own. She worried she would do something stupid. She worried and she worried and worried some more. And she couldn't seem to stop.

Walking through the halls of the foreign apartment building that looked very modern, side by side with Caleb as he led their way, she still worried.

She couldn't seem to stop her thoughts from consuming her whole, but she remained calm and collected on the outside. Even friendlier with Caleb than usual as she continued smiling up at him and laughing lightly when he would say something funny. The way he would seem to grin in victory from her reactions also worried her.

Because along with her worrying, she happened to wonder. Did their drunken hazy night together happen to change the way he saw her? Was he subtly acting different, or was she just dwelling on things that meant nothing?

She couldn't seem to figure things out, so, she continued to wonder. Wonder and worry; the things she happened to do best aside from her job. Ironically enough, she hated doing those things just as much.

"Hey, uh, Sades?" Caleb piped up meekly, brows pinching together.

His voice pulled her out of her own head. "Hm?"

Just as he stopped in front of the door, he breathed in deeply. "I don't want you to feel nervous or anything. You know, with my friends. It should be chill, well, everyone pretty much is. But, you know, there may be some things they have, but, like, you know—"

Sadie lifted a brow, an amused smile on her face from all his rambling. "Spit it out, Caleb."

Caleb stopped talking abruptly, eyes widening before he sighed. "Just, um, there's no need be nervous. Everything will be fine tonight, okay? You're gonna meet some new people, hopefully make some new friends, and have some fun."

Sadie felt her smile soften, eyes flitting down to her feet. "Yeah, I hope. I'll try to have fun, if that'll make you feel better."

"No need to be nervous, but if you start feeling, like, anything bad at all, I'll take you home."

She looked back up at him, peeking beneath her lashes, "Okay."
