❝ i've been lost in doubt, confused and about why things turned out this way ❞[ *·',·.°·*°. ]
Sadie lay wide awake in bed that night, tossing and turning as a storm was brewing right outside her window. Thunder grumbling, dark clouds covering every inch of the sky, lightning crackling. It was Mother Nature's anger surfacing, and it didn't seem it would get too bad, but it wasn't stopping any time soon.
It was not a big problem to Sadie. She had nowhere to be until the next week when she would be back to her modeling gigs. Until then, there was nothing she would be busy doing and with this storm and all the rain lately. It instead just gave her more reason to stay cooped up in her apartment.
But right now, it was preventing her from catching any rest. The thunder continued to boom and lightning lit up the sky. Sadie was growing restless with each time she tossed and turned and rolled before deciding to throw off her fuzzy blanket, sitting upright in her bed. She looked towards the curtain of her window, lightning peeking through brightly only seconds later, a loud clap of thunder sounding out right after.
The weather was just as restless as she was. What was she to do until she would finally be tired? Reading would only keep her mind wide awake, and music would be of no use to calm her if there was still thunder.
Her eyes trailed around her bedroom, trying to find or think of anything that could help. But as her gaze found her phone on the nightstand beside her bed, only one thing came to mind.
She bit her lip, wondering if it would even be a good idea. Grabbing her phone to check the time, she found it was only after 11:30. Maybe he was still awake?
With a quick sigh, she decided to at least send a message.
sadie:
are u awake?
this storm won't let me sleepPlacing her phone beside her, she frowned. What was she thinking? Maybe he was already asleep. Besides, how was he supposed to help her with her restless problem?
But, then, her phone dinged suddenly, catching her attention.
caleb:
same here, come down to 203 :)Sadie scrunched her face up at that. Going over to Caleb's apartment this late at night? Well, she didn't exactly want the elderly women in the building to start up any rumors about the two during their bingo nights. Still, she couldn't sleep, he was in the same boat, so, what was the problem, really?
