❝ fall apart twice a day ❞

[ *·',·.°·*°. ]

It was a busy morning for Sadie.

Going from one studio to another, back and forth with a whole team of professionals giving her orders. Getting pulled into one dress, sprayed with hairspray, lipstick swiped over her lips, moved around from standing in one spot to another, then the process being repeated over and over in a separate location.

She was glad to be back in her apartment in the early evening, exhausted as she plopped onto her plush burgundy sofa, not even bothering to kick off her shoes, and then shut her eyes. Rest was much needed after her hectic scheduling. She just needed a relaxing break, some time to unwind.

But obnoxious knocking against her front door tore her away from the relaxation she was trying to allow herself.

Annoyed, she groaned and rolled off the edge of the sofa, landing on her butt on the floor with a soft plop. She released a small squeak, shaking her head as she stood up and began heading over to the front door. She stood on her tiptoes to peek through the peephole, only slightly surprised to find the familiar chocolate toned boy waiting patiently on the other side with a camera slung around his neck, rocking back and forth on the heels of his feet. Sadie pulled away with a sigh, then unlocked the door, swinging it open.

She stared at him expectantly, and he wasted no time in grinning widely at her in greeting. The corners of her mouth turned up a bit at how bright and vibrant he always seemed to be. It was kind of starting to grow on her already.

"We're going out for a drive," Caleb stated simply.

Sadie frowned. "What? Why?"

It seemed a little late to just head out for a drive at night. Especially with how exhausted she felt from modeling earlier.

"Because." He shrugged. "We can go out and appreciate the scenery of New York."

"Ah, yes," Sadie nodded in understanding. "Because concrete and glass buildings that destroyed nature and are hiding the constellations of the stars with their bright lights deserve to be appreciated."

Caleb grinned even wider at her. "Didn't really peg you as a nature lover, Sadie."

She tilted her head to the side, her ginger hair falling over her shoulder, framing her face like a curtain. "Why not?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. Nature lovers are all about preserving life, right?"

"I guess so?"
