Chapter 13: Red Eyes

Hey I'm back kinda. I'll be focusing on this story the most since it's almost at the end. Plus it will also have a sequel in the works so keep an eye out for that once this story is done. I will try to update this story once a week or twice a week but let's see what you guys think. Should I update twice a week until we get to the sequel or once a week?

Flashback

Haizaki walks down the street grumbling a bit. He had a sick feeling to his stomach but ignored it as he walked next to a dark alley. A blonde man came out of the alley and "accidentally" bumps into him.

"Ah sorry about that." The man says with a sly smile.

Haizaki glares at him, "Sorry my ass you did that on purpose." He clenches his fist. He looked him over and noticed a tattoo on his neck.

"Woah I don't want trouble. It was my bad." The blonde man pats Haizaki's shoulder as he passes him. "I'm sorry-" He says something but a horn blocks his words.

Haizaki shrugs him off and went into the alley. 'Creepy guy, he has nice tats though.' He continues to walk in before four thugs stood in front of him.

"You made our boss angry for not listening and now we'll make sure you listen very well from now on." One of the thugs said.

"I don't know what you're talking about?" Haizaki glares.

"Shogo?" Haizaki heard a familiar voice. He turns around and sees Akashi.

Haizaki laughs, "Of course you have people to try to silence me. Well fuck you Seijuro! I won't let you keep me quiet! I'll expose you and your corrupt ways!"

"Shogo what are you-"

"Oh don't even try-OW!" He yelps a bit as one of the thugs hit him from behind. Haizaki growls and starts to fight.

"Shogo!" Akashi tries to go help but two of the other thugs moves in front of him.
"Don't worry we'll take care of your friend. Run along or get hurt." One of them says.

"Get on your knees," Akashi glares, "Now." The two men blinked before they felt themselves falling down to their knees. Akashi passes them as he looks down at them. "Your head is too high." He walks away as he looks over to Haizaki who was passed out on the ground. The other two thugs were also on the ground. Akashi sighs and calls the police. He looks over Haizaki and holds him.

'What have I done? I should have come sooner. If I never sent him away this wouldn't have happened.' Akashi looks over Haizaki until the police came and the ambulance took Haizaki away.

Flashback End

"The police wouldn't tell him where he took you, so he pulled some strings and made sure you went to this hospital to get the best care. He couldn't see you though. He felt shame. Should he have told everyone else yes, but you're all children. You make mistakes like this." Reo says.

"It doesn't excuse him." Haizaki clenches his fist.

"You don't have to forgive him but he did try to help." Kuroko hugs his arm, "Can you try to get along with him when we go back?"

Haizaki looks at him before looking away, "For you."

Kuroko smiles and nods. "And will you get along with Kise-kun, right?"
"I don't know about him. He's weird." Haizaki sighs but looks towards Tetsuya's eyes, "As long as you keep him in place."

Kuroko smiles and nods. "Thank you." He looks over at the guardians, "We want to go back."

"That's great." Kagami smiles as the rest of the guardians smile.

"Great now to get you both ready to cross back in the world of the living." Nijimura smiles.

"How do we get back?" Haizaki asks.

"We have to wait a bit." Nijimura looks out the window. "The sun is coming up. We have to watch your friends and make sure they're also ready to receive you guys."

The rest of guardians look out at the sun.

"We should get to them, they're moving your body already." Reo says as they teleport back to Tetsuya's room.

Tetsuya's Room

The nurses had already moved Haizaki's bed next to Kuroko's so they could be together. Murasakibara sits in the middle of them as he sighs while drinking his shake. Kise sits by Haizaki's bedside as he rubs the top of his hand. Midormia and Akashi were discussing both Kuroko and Haizaki's charts. Aomine had laid back in Kuroko's bed. Aomine holds Kuroko close to him as he kisses his forehead over and over.

"Tetsu come back please." Aomine whispers to Kuroko's body. Then his phone started to vibrate. He looks at it before he throws it at the wall. Everyone looks at him surprised.

"Umm Aominecchi?" Kise looks at him.

"Don't tell Satsuki we're here." Aomine mutters.

"Why not?" Midorima asks.

Akashi studies Aomine, "What did you do?"
