Chapter 18: Rainbow Eyes

A/N: And here is the final chapter! Thank you everyone for supporting this story and for leaving your comments and reviews. It does mean the world to me. This is the first story that I ever finished completely and I am very proud of myself. This isn't the end for Kuroko and his friends though. There are still things I want to explore and expand on but I didn't feel that it was right for this story. So everything will be continued in the sequel, What Would You Do If I Was Alive?, Which should be up after this chapter. There is also an alternative ending I made for this story and if you guys want to read it let me know. A few days have passed since Kuroko and Haizaki woke up. After a few tests and examinations, they were just waiting for the okay to be released.

Kuroko smiled as Aomine held him close. "Aomine-kun can we play basketball when we get out?"

"You know it Tetsu." Aomine smiled.

"Not until the doctor gives him the okay Daiki." Akashi said as he and Midorima were looking over Kuroko and Haizaki's charts.

"A little basketball won't hurt him." Aomine said.

"Kuroko still needs rest. You guys can play after he's all healed up." Midorima said.

"You're joining us right Haizakichii?" Kise smiled as he sat next to Haizaki.

"I'll think about it." Haizaki said.

"Haizaki-kun~" Kuroko said as Haizaki knew what Kuroko wanted to hear.

"Fine I'll join. Sheesh." Haizaki groaned.

"Snack time!" Murasakibara came in with a bag full of snacks.

"Hell yeah." Haizaki smirked, "Pass it here Atsushi."

Murasakibara nodded and handed Haizaki his snacks. He then gave Kise his snack, then to Akashi and Midorima, and finally to Kuroko and Aomine.

"Thank you Murasakibara-kun." Kuroko smiled.

"Welcome Kuro-chin!" Murasakibara sat in between Kuroko and Haizaki as he ate his snacks.

"Well now that we're all here. Do you two want to explain again what happened before you woke up?" Akashi said as they looked at him.

"Akashi-kun it wasn't a dream. I swear we have guardian angels." Kuroko said.

"You have to see it from our point of view Kuroko, there's no proof they exist." Midorima explained.

"Come on, you should at least believe me." Haizaki said.

"Still it's a little weird." Kise said.

"Then how do I know exactly what happened before you guys knew I was in a coma?" Kuroko asked.

"I told you Kuro-chin came to my house but you guys didn't listen." Murasakibara smiled proudly.

"I believe you Tetsu." Aomine said as he nuzzled Kuroko's neck.

"Thank you Aomine-kun." Kuroko patted his head.

"Still we should talk about what happened that day. Our fight caused this." Akashi said as the room went quiet.

"We're all stressed out. We're being pushed to win. But winning isn't everything." Kuroko said. "I know there will be people out there strong enough for you all to play against. Someone that will challenge you all."

"But we're really strong Kuro-chin." Murasakibara said.

"Like Himuro-san said, we have so many years ahead of us." Kuroko said.
