"So Haz got you a pink Lambo for Christmas? Lucky." Harry groans as we walk in.
"Well merry Christmas to you too grump" I laugh.
The house smells great, of course it would, Sam is cooking Christmas dinner. Nikki made the place look beautiful, decorations placed perfectly through out the house. This is so exciting for me, getting to spend my first Christmas with a family in years.
"How's my grandbaby doing?" Nikki asks, placing her hands on my stomach.
"Doing good" I smile. "We did the blood test a few days ago so the results should come in soon"
"Please be a girl" she says.
"What is with everyone and wanting a girl? I want a boy." I laugh.
"Aria I raised four boys, a girl would be a blessing." She laughs.
I step into the kitchen to greet Sam and see if he needs any help, which he graciously turns down.
"It's cause you can't cook for shit" Tom says and I glare at him.
"I can cook!" I scoff.
"You really can't" Sam laughs.
"What? Haz can I cook?" I ask my boyfriend, knowing he will take my side.
"Yes baby, you're great at it." He says.
"Hah! See!" I say and the boys roll their eyes.
"He only said that cause you're fucking him." Harry says.
"Know what? Fuck all of you. You're mean." I say, dipping underneath Haz's arm and making him cuddle me into his side.
"You can't be assholes with her mood swings." Haz says.
"I'm not having mood swings" I say.
"Of course not baby" he says.
"Phil! Charlotte! Come on in!" Nikki says and I turn to see Haz's mum and sister walk through the door.
I walk over, smiling at the both of them.
"Merry Christmas guys" I say, hugging Phil.
"Merry Christmas sweetheart, how's the little pumpkin doing?"
I love how both of our mums asked about the baby, this is my perfect family. I'm glad we decided to tell his mum everything. It's so nice to not have to hide.
"Oh good, everything's looking great." I smile.
"Why don't we open presents while the ham finishes cooking?" Nikki suggests.
We all gather in the living room, all ten of us.. well eleven if you include the baby. Everyone hands each other their presents and starts unwrapping them. Lots of thank yous being exchanged.
As the best gift giver, it's great seeing everyone loving their presents from me, and not exactly adoring what Tom got them.
"Now here's your real present" Tom says, handing me a big box.
I unwrap the box, and pull it open, not exactly understanding what's inside. I grab the top, pulling it out slowly and once I see what it is my heart fills with joy.
"It's a mobile" I say with a smile, adoring each and every elephant on it, it looks exactly like one I had as a kid.
"I uh, I remember seeing a baby picture of you, with this same mobile. Couldn't believe I found one almost identical. I hope it's okay." he says awkwardly and I shake my head.
"Tom it's perfect. Absolutely perfect." I say to him, pulling him into a hug. The amount of thought he put into this is unbelievable. My brother may act all big and tough, but deep down he's a softie. I love him.
"I've got once more present for Aria." Haz says.
"You've bought me a car, you've bought me a home, I swear if this isn't just a coffee machine or something." I laugh.
"Well.. it's definitely not just a coffee machine" he laughs.
He hands me an envelope and I raise my brow at him.
"What's this?" I ask.
"Open it and you'll see" he smiles.
I rip the top open, pulling out a folded up piece of paper. What could this possibly be?
I unfold it, everyone anxiously waiting to see what it is.
"Oh my god" I cry, my hand flying over my mouth as I read what it says. "Haz.."
"Well why don't you show everyone what it is." He suggests.
"It's a boy" I say, turning the paper to show the baby's gender results.
"Yes!" Tom yells, throwing his fist victoriously in the air.
"We're having a boy!" I say.
"Yes we are" Haz kisses my temple as everyone celebrates.
______
"Goodbye, thank you for having us." I say to Nikki and Dom.
"Aria, you're our daughter. You're welcome anytime." Dom smiles, giving me a hug.
We say our goodbyes and get in the car.
Haz pulls the bouquet of roses from the backseat, looking over to me.
"Ready?" He asks.
"Yes" I nod.
We drive to the graveyard, there's no way my mum is celebrating Christmas alone, and Haz wasn't about to let me come alone either.
We pull up, and get out of the car. Haz grabs one of his extra jackets from the backseat, putting it on me and zipping it up.
I grab the bouquet, walking over to my mums grave. It's gloomy here, but I still put on a smile. My mum deserves to have me here, happy.
"Merry Christmas mum" I say quietly, setting the flowers down at her headstone. Haz crouches down with me, putting a hand on my shoulder to comfort me without interfering with my one way conversation.
"I uh, I'm having a boy mum" I say. "I remember you always wanted me to have a girl first.. sorry."
I let out a small giggle, thinking about how she would have reacted. Something along the lines of 'boys are smelly and gross, how are you going to handle that!'
"I'm going to do just fine. I learned from the best." I say. "And I've got all the help I could ever need.."
a little bird lands on her headstone, sitting there peacefully for a moment. I don't believe in much.. but something in me feels like that was a sign. A sign that my mum is okay.
"Merry Christmas mum, One day we can celebrate together again." I say, letting my hand glide over the grave stone before rising to my feet again.
"Let's go home" I say to Haz.
He wraps his arm around me as we walk back to the car. He opens my door for me, letting me get in before closing it and getting in on the other side. His hand runs over my belly, his blue eyes rising to look into mine before glancing back down to my belly.
"Merry Christmas little guy."
A/N: it's a boy! Woohoo!! Could you imagine little Haz babies omg they'd be so adorable🥺
