Hey guys!!
I'm so sorry for the lack of update this last week, I've been really unmotivated recently and stupidly busy for someone in quarantine lmao. But thank you all for the reads, votes and comments! I'm going to set out a plot line for the story so I'll pretty much have a prompt for every chapter, so I hope that'll make it easier to write! Thanks for reading!

Madi got up from her chair. "You can't go back to him! Don't you remember the reason you left him in the first place? He doesn't deserve any more chances!"

"I know, but I miss him Madi! I've told you, this doesn't happen all the time, this only happens when I've genuinely done something wrong, and I understand that! Please don't lecture me again, I already know everything you're going to say. I'll come back soon, okay? And it won't be because I need to get away from him next time." A small smile tugged at her lips, her hands finding Madi's and squeezing them.

Madi's eyes filled up with tears as she threw herself at Daisy for a hug. "I just don't want him to take you away from me. Every time you go back, I get more and more scared that I won't see you again because of how violent he is. I love you, Daisy, I'll always be here if you need me. I'm pretty much nocturnal now because of the difference in time zones between me and Ted, so call me whenever. I'll be sure to have some more gossip for when you come back." Madi pulled away from the hug, wiping her tears and chuckling softly.

"I'll be okay, Madi. I'm not going anywhere until I meet this handsome Ted anyway, don't you worry." Daisy chuckled too, grabbing her bag and smiling at Madi, opening the door. "I'll see you soon! Thank you for everything."

"Bye lovely, safe journey!" Madi grinned, waving frantically.

Daisy quietly went through the front door, putting her bag on the floor. "Hello?"

She was greeted by two big arms hugging her tight, which she returned without hesitation. The head buried into her neck whispered quietly, "I missed you. I'm so sorry for everything, I love you so much Daisy."

Daisy's heart melted, kissing the side of his head. "It's okay darling, I'm sorry for not behaving, I was stupid and I'm sorry. Do you think we could just chill tonight? I really need to rest."

"Of course hun! Sit down, let me spoil you tonight. Do you want pizza or Chinese?"

"Chinese would be lovely, thank you so much." Daisy smiled, taking her shoes off and sitting on the sofa, relaxing into the soft cushions. She was always alert in case something happened unexpectedly, but tonight she felt like everything was okay. She soon dozed off, sleep overtaking her and her mind still for once in a lifetime.

Max came into the room, bag of Chinese in hand and grin plastered across his face. Well, that was until he saw Daisy asleep. Why was she asleep? What had he done wrong? So much for her wanting to spend time with him. She was probably tired from being disloyal for the last week and only came back when she had run out of people to fuck. How had he come to this conclusion? Well, he didn't know, but of course he was right because she was a pathetic woman who did everything wrong.

Anger consumed him as he dropped the bag and strode over to her, his hands suddenly smashing into her face as he punched her without hesitation. He had never felt more angry in his life, and he had no idea the damage he had done until he came out of the 'episode'. Her nose was crushed beyond recognition, blood and bruises all over her face. He was soon overwhelmed with emotion, tears threatening to fall. He shook her gently. "Daisy?... Daisy?" He shook her harder, her body limp in his hands.

SHIT

He had gone too far. He had fucked up beyond what he could even comprehend, and he knew there was no going back now. He had to call Madi. She was his only hope.

The phone rung for two seconds before she picked up, her panic filled voice filling his head.

"Max? What's wrong? Is everything okay?"

"I-It's Daisy. I-I did something. Really bad. I n-need your help"

Max was dumb, but not dumb enough to miss the pure hatred laced in Madi's next sentence.

"I'm coming over, and an ambulance is on its way. If you have killed my Daisy, you will be dead. I promise you that, and you know I keep my promises."

"Okay. See you soon." Max hung up the phone, throwing it on the floor and burying his face in Daisy's stomach, sobbing uncontrollably. He really did love her. He knew he didn't act like it, but he really did. He knew she deserved so much better, but she always came back to him. He was lucky, but he didn't act like it.

The last thing he wanted was her to die. She was only 20, she had her whole life ahead of her. He regretted everything.

It was really the wake up call he needed. He decided to leave, as it was the only way he could truly protect her. He grabbed a bag of essentials, wrote a note for Madi to find and scarpered.

He never wanted to hurt anyone again. And he meant that.
