Hey guys :)
I just wanted to say that I'm incredibly sorry for taking so long to update this. I know I said I'd take a break for mental health, but since then I've kinda found myself not wanting to use Wattpad and just avoiding it because I've felt guilty that I haven't been able to write anything. My mental health, if anything, has got worse and I've been incredibly unmotivated because writing has become tedious, but I've decided to keep going with this story as I kinda feel like writing again.
Thank you guys for being patient with me, I appreciate all the reads and support. This chapter is a bit longer than my others, so I hope that makes up for the break slightly.
Stay safe and remember to stay hydrated! Take care of yourselves =)

Charlie woke up in the Lunch Club house, as per Carson's request, so they could all get ready for the trip together. He knew he was one of the first people up, as his body clock woke him up at 7am every day more or less. It had its pros and cons, but ultimately he'd been doing it for a long time and wasn't bothered enough to change it. He threw on some clothes, washed his face and cleaned his teeth, and went downstairs with the expectation of being alone for a while. The first thing he saw was a tired looking Ted on the phone, pacing in the kitchen.
"You good bro?" Charlie whispered to him.
Ted looked up at him, bags under his eyes more prominent than ever. "I'm fine." He whispered back, a small, tired smile on his lips, immediately going back to talking on the phone.
Charlie left the kitchen, heading into the living room to sit and wait until Ted had finished. Soon after, he came into the room, leaning against the door. His eyes were tired and his hair was a mess, he looked dishevelled and almost like he was about to fall asleep standing.
"What's going on dude, are you doing okay?"
Ted stumbled over, sitting next to him on the sofa. "Madi needed me, so I've been on the phone with her for hours. I haven't slept a wink." He ran his hand through his hair, sighing.
"What happened? Is she okay?" Charlie asked, concerned.
"Her best friend was almost killed by her boyfriend. She's been up all night with her in the hospital, and she's so scared for her. I've been trying to calm her down so she stops worrying, because her friend is in good hands. As far as I know she's stable and out of surgery, but not awake yet. Madi said she'd text me when she's awake because she could tell I was tired and needed to sleep." He chuckled.
"Jesus, that sucks man. Tell Madi that her friend is welcome to come hang out with us while we're over. Hopefully it'll make her recovery a little better."
Ted smiled. "I already told her that, but thanks Charlie. It means a lot."
"No worries dude, anytime. Tell Madi I'm thinking about her. I hope her friend gets better soon."
"Will do. Tell the others I'll be asleep until later this afternoon. You guys can do whatever, just count me out. Oh yeah, do you think I could give you Madi's number in case anything happens when I'm asleep? I know you don't know her that well and it's weird bu-"
"That's fine Ted. Honestly, don't worry about it, just give me her number and go to bed and I'll explain it to her." Charlie cut him off and smiled reassuringly. He handed out his phone for Ted to put the number in, taking it back and ushering him to bed. As soon as Ted had left, he typed out a message to Madi
Charlie: Hey Madi, my name is Charlie, I'm a friend of Ted's. He gave me your number so you would be able to contact me while he's sleeping just in case anything else happens, as his phone will be off and he'll be unable to reply. If anything happens that you need Ted, then let me know and I'll get him immediately. Otherwise, I'm here to talk if you need it. Speak to you soon hopefully.
Charlie turned off his phone off and slipped it into his pocket, getting up from the sofa to make some breakfast. He was one of the only people in the house who could cook anything decent, so he decided to make something for everybody. The worst that could happen would be that he made a mess, so why not?
A couple hours later, he had finished. It was 10am and he'd finished making all kinds of food, also making cookies and cake to be picked at during the rest of the day. He stood back from the counter and wiped his forehead, sighing happily. It felt good to have achieved something after his week long slump.
A sleepy Carson came into the room, yawning. "Wow, it looks like you've made food for like 30 people. how long have you been up for?"
"Only 3 hours, it didn't take long. I guess I wanted to make it up to you guys for being such a pain. I genuinely think I'm over her dude. I want to stop putting my life on hold for one girl I met when I was 14."
Carson smiled, proud of his friend. "That's amazing man, I couldn't be happier for you. I know how much she meant to you, but you've still got to focus on yourself. Think of this as the first day of the rest of your life."
Charlie smiled back, looking at Carson. "I can't thank you enough, honestly. You're the best friend I could ask for."
"Don't sweat it dude. You know I'm here for you no matter what. Now, can I start eating yet? I'm hungry as fuck." He chuckled.
Over the next half an hour, the rest of the lunch club filtered through the kitchen, grabbing food, laughing and joking around. Charlie hung around the kitchen area, leaning against the counter, smiling and quipping in with witty remarks and jokes. Soon after everyone was finished, the house was a whirlwind of everyone packing, ordering food and coming in and out of the house with last minute purchases.
Once the packing and last minute checks were finished, the seven of them collapsed on various chairs in the living room for a movie night and pizza.
"Well, at least that's done. We can use the next couple days before we leave to bulk up on videos and stream so we can keep pumping out content while we're away. That sound good to you lot?" Carson asked, yawning.
Everyone either nodded in agreement or mumbled a yes, already exhausted for it being 5pm in the evening. Schlatt, Noah and Travis all clocked out halfway through the movie to go to bed, while Carson, Charlie and Cooper all hung out and ended up playing games until 11pm.
"Right guys, I should really head to bed. I'll see you in the morning." Charlie got up, heading towards the door. The others both said goodnight as he left the room, continuing the game. Charlie trudged up the stairs, yawning. His phone had been out of charge for hours, but he wasn't too bothered as he was justifiably busy. He plugged his phone in and turned it on, the notifications coming through at high speed. Madi had messaged him saying everything was okay and Ted was awake, which was good as he may or may not have forgotten about everything. He scrolled through his twitter and DMs but one new notification caught his eye.
