Alec's POV
The rest of the week flew by. My mother allowed all of us to go to the city... she doesn't know that we were going to a party. And by all, I mean ALL. Clary, Jace, myself, Izzy, and Simon. Yes, THE Simon Lewis. That was her secret date the other night.

"Who is driving?" Clary asks when everyone is in the living room of my house. Everyone looks around at each other and I just roll my eyes. "I will." I say and take the minivan keys off the table next to the door.  I sling my backpack over my shoulder before walking out the door.

The ENTIRE ride up, everyone but Jace and I sang. Simon even brought his guitar which Izzy loved. It was a very 70's vibe going on in the car. I look at the clock when we park the car at an Airbnb. 6:45 pm. It was the cheapest thing we could find and surprising, it is very modern and clean. Everyone gathers their things and heads into the building.

Everyone places their things in the entry way while I shut and lock the door behind us. While everyone is gawking at furniture and the view, I head upstairs. It's a 3 bedroom so I'm taking my own room while the couples get their own. Once I get into my room, I throw my things against the bed frame. I take a seat on the corner of the bed before I lay my head back and stretch my arms out. This better work.

We order takeout around 7:30 pm while Clary calls some of her friends to get the address and the time for the party. I go to my room when we finished eating and try to find an outfit for this party. It's probably my last chance at finding Magnus.

When we get to the party, Izzy drags Simon towards a massive crowd... probably to dance. She loves to dance. Clary, with her wide eyes and bright smile, drags Jace towards another room. That's leaves me, all alone.

I walk around the house, it looks familiar to how I remembered in my coma. It's smaller but many of the same decorations and themes are there. When the song changes, I make it to the back door and slip outside and a shocked breath escapes my lips.

It where I met Magnus. Where I proposed... the backyard garden pavilion. The beautiful stonework, all of the lights. Even though there is a lot of people around, I still get the same feelings I always had. I look around and find the tree next to the swing and sit and watch.

Soon enough I see Izzy and Simon come to the backyard, keeping the door open to allow the music to boom. I watch them dance for a little before I decide to get a drink. I walk back inside and go into the fridge go grab a bottle of water. I take a sip before I'm pulled into a hug. I look down and see it's Clary. "Are you having fun?" She asks when she lets go of the embrace.

"Great." My voice is full of anger and defeat. Clary just gives a shy smile before grabbing Jace's hand. "You good, bro?" He asks just to me. "Yeah, I'm just waiting for the party to get to my level." I say and then sigh before walking through the house and to the front door. I walk outside and sit on the front porch swing... just like all the morning sunsets.

"Not your kind of party?" A familiar voice asks. A too familiar voice... My eyes widen before I look up and see HIM. "Not exactly." I say slowly before leaning back on the swing. He takes a seat next to me and runs his fingers through his red, tipped hair. He's just as beautiful as I remember when we were younger.

"You don't look familiar... you don't go to school with us do you?" He asks me, laughing a little. I just shake my head... and he's just like I remembered. It's east to talk to him. Everything flows out. I don't tell him about my coma mind, just about me... and he tells me about him. We exchange numbers.

What feels like hours, is quickly cut short. "You ready to go?" Izzy asks as she leaves the front door. I look at everyone, they look drunk... Simon looks like he's blacked out and Jace looks like he can barley stand. "You okay to drive?" Clary asks and I nod. "I'll meet you at the car." I say as I throw the keys at Izzy.

As I stand up, so does he. "It was very nice to meet you..." He stretches the ending of the word. "Alec-" I fumble. "Alexander. Whatever works best for you." I start to walk down the front steps when he speaks.

"I know I'll be see you again. I'm Malik."
