Magnus's POV
When we get to the hospital, Alec is still unconscious. He breathing just not opening his eyes. They wheel the gurney to a room and lock it into place. "A nurse should be in to get some information." One EMT says and I just nod my head, my eyes never leaving Alec.

I drag a chair over and hold his hand tightly. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. We thought... we thought he was in California. This shouldn't have happened." I whisper, tears beginning to form down my cheeks.

"Excuse. Mr..." I look up and I see a small blonde haired woman. "Bane. You can just call me Magnus." I say. She nods her head and walks to me. "We are going to take him up for a CT now to make sure there is no brain damage. Is there any thing we should know? Medical history." She asks in a soft voice.

Before I answer, I sniffle. "He was shot in the head a little while ago. Besides that... uh, he's not allergic to anything. Really healthy." She smiles and walks over to place her hand on mine. "It will be okay..." She pauses to give me a small smile. "Is there anyone we can call?"

I shake my head. "No, uh- my mom is on her way and I called his family on our way here." She nods again before unlocking the gurney to move it. "It should only be an hour." She assures me while walking out of the door.

I sit in the chair, frozen. I feel like if I stand up, I might fall over. So I sit, my hands clutching my knees tightly. "Magnus." I hear my mom outside the room. She kneels in front of me and brushes her fingers through my hair. "It will be okay." She pauses to stand up. "I have an old friend who works here, I'll see if she can give me updates." Then I hear her shoes click on the floor as she leaves.

"Hey, Magnus. Don't worry." Jerry says calmly. He places his hand on my shoulder and rubs it reassuringly.

Alec's POV
I start to open my eyes, the light incredibly bright that I squint. I don't move though. When I fully open my eyes, I become aware of the clicking noises around me. I look around without moving my head. I'm in a CT machine. I had a few scans after I woke up from the coma. I wait impatiently until I feel the machine start to slide my body out.

When I'm almost out, I get a sudden urge to get up. So I quickly shoot up, scaring a young women. I begin to panic. I don't know why I thought Magnus would be here, it's a secured room. Before the woman says anything, I begin to hop off the machine and take off in a sprint. I don't exactly know where I'm going, I just need to find Magnus.

I run down steps until I get to a floor directory. I look for the ER. Right as I open the door, a speaker goes off. "We have a code yellow. I repeat, code yellow." Instead of playing it off as if I'm a visitor since I'm in my normal clothes and not a gown, I continue running.

A thought runs through my head. What if Magnus's dad took him. What if he's not even here... Instead of giving that a second thought, I run faster. I hear a man shout stop. I turn my head and see it's a security guard. I turn a corner and see I'm at the doors for the ER.

I jam the open handicap button to allow the doors to automatically open. "Magnus!" I shout. I don't even care who hears. "Magnus!" I shout again and start running up the rows. I make 2 turns around an island where nurses should be but no one was there. Right when I I'm about to shout his name again, he jolts from the end room.

His eyes are red but wide. He's been crying and he looks so shocked. I run again until I'm a few steps from him. Then I walk forcefully and quickly to him. I take my left hand and place it on the back of his head and use my right to pull him to me, crashing our lips together. His hands slide behind my shoulder blades, pulling me impossibly closer. I'm the first to pull away.

"You've been crying." I whisper. I move my hand from the back of his head to his cheek to wipe the tears. "You were knocked out. It was my fau-." I cut him off. "It is not. Do not say that." I say and rest my forehead to his. He moves his hand to pull me into a hug. His head rests on my shoulder, I turn my head to rest my cheek on the top of his head.

"Mr. Lightwood-Alec." I hear together. I release Magnus and turn around. It's the woman that I scared in the CT room and my mother. My mother was crying, but her face says she's angry. The woman is just trying to catch her breath.

"Sir you need to get back in the bed." The women says. I take Magnus's hand and walk to sit in my bed. He takes the seat next to me. My mother comes into the room. Her piercing eyes never stop glaring at me. "You ran out of your test!" She shouts when the woman leaves.

Magnus let's go of my hand, but I grab it quickly to interlace out fingers. "I did wait until it was over..." I say, grinning slightly. Jerry can't help but laugh and not just a little one, a full blown one like he's heard the best joke ever. This causes my mother's gaze to soften and she can't help but smile.

She walk quickly to me and pulls me into a hug. "When I got the call-" I cut her off. "I know." I whisper softly.
