                                                                                       Cassidy's P.O.V

I sat in one of the chairs in Professor X's office and stared at the paintings he had on his walls. A million thoughts rushed through my head. Would Professor X make Warren leave because I could be too dangerous? Would I ever see Warren again after this? Will I be yelled at? Will I get punished?

I did deep breaths to try to calm myself down. I knew that a lot of my questions were irrational and were rapidly generated in my mind out of fear of this situation.

After what seemed like forever, I saw the professor roll into the room. I felt my throat gulp as he rolled around to the opposite side of the desk,  now tapping his hands on his desk.

"With honesty in mind, please explain what happened during training this morning Cassidy, in your perspective" Professor X said. I cleared my throat and spoke. " Me and Warren were at the droid section of the obstacle course, fighting the droids." He nodded, gesturing for me to go on. "I was hitting and punching the bots away with my strength and I didn't realize that I lost control over my powers. I was punching the bots away with all my might,  for a few moments I forgot that Warren was there with me. I felt all my emotions and anger lash at on those bots and I only wanted to destroy them." He nodded again. "I didn't realize it at first, but I glanced over at Warren for a moment and saw a bot that I hit fly over to him and hit him on the face, knocking him unconscious." He nodded.

"Warren is being examined by the nurse right now. I took brief glances at his wings while rolling in to fetch you and he looked okay.  His wings only had a few minor scrapes. He's lucky that they're made of metal. If they weren't we'd have to perform surgery to amputate his wings. Warren's very lucky. Until he's better and deemed clear by the nurse you two will not train, do you understand? My student's safety is my number one priority" He said. "Yes sir." I said, looking at him with a grateful smile, knowing that meant that that was his "punishment". He was relatively a laid back person. He smiled briefly for a few seconds in return but then his smile drooped into a frown. His face looked sad and discouraged.

Professor X took a deep breath and cleared his throat. "Cassidy, I need to tell you something that I've been needing to tell you for a long time but was never able to do so. I also thought it was best not to say anything during the fight with Apocalypse because I wanted you to stay safe." I felt my heart-rate rising. "What is it?" I asked, a look of concern on my face.

"Cassidy, have you ever wondered why your powers are so incredibly strong, stronger than even Jean's?" he asked. "Yes, all of the time." I said. I thought of the times that I could've used my powers but I was too scared too. I spent my whole life living in fear of who I was. The powers that I was born with.

"It's because.." He said, not saying the last part.

"It's because what?" I asked impatiently.

"You're Magneto's granddaughter. You inherited the strength of his powers."

what?

                                                                      Warren's P.O.V

As I rested on my hospital bed, waiting for someone to walk in or something to happen, a nurse came in and said that she had to check my wings and my vitals in order to let me go.

The hard thing though was that without Cassidy by my side, I didn't trust anybody, not even the nurse. That was another part about cage fighting that stuck with me, that you could never trust anybody, not even yourself. I lived by the motto 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer'.

"I don't mind you touching my wings, but please be careful." I told the nurse quietly. She nodded in response. I reassured myself that she didn't mean any harm and that she wanted to help me. She quickly examined my wings. " Your wings don't look busted up much, not anything too major at least that'd require surgery. Just give them a day or two to heal from any scrapes, cuts, or bruises, and no flying or training until two days from now okay honey?"  She then proceeded to test me for a concussion and other head related injuries. After about thirty minutes she told me that I was clear to go.

I then went to Cassidy's room, grabbed some clothes to wear that she had lying around, and took a shower. I could not keep the thought of seeing her alone with professor X out of my head. I knew she needed me, I could tell. She probably thought she lost me forever and that it was her fault. I told myself to simply do my homework that I was assigned and wait for her in the room, and that i'd see her in a little while.

I was working on some algebra problems when I saw Jean walk in. She looked surprised, as if she wasn't expecting me to be in Cassidy's room. Her face then became more serine. "I heard what happened this morning when you two were training, are you okay?" He red hair was in a braid that cascaded down her back. She was wearing a Yale t-shirt and some black leggings with some blue sneakers. "Yeah, i'm fine." I said. I turned to show her my wings to show her that nothing bad happened to them. "What are you doing in Cassidy's room anyways?" She asked, "Not to be a creep or anything. I know you two are dating, much to Kurt's dismay." With that she smirked. Jeans smirks were interesting, they were genuine smirks, but her brows weren't furrowed like mine, Cassidy's or Scott's when we smirked. I chuckled. "Cassidy has to share her room with me because no other rooms are vacant. Not that I don't mind." She nodded in response, and gestured me to further answer her question. Being telepathic, she could tell I had more to say about my relationship with Cassidy. " I suppose gossip travels fast around here huh?" I asked, my head now tilted to the side, like it normally was when I asked a question. Jean laughed. " No, it was painfully obvious that you two are together.  I mean come on! The amount of time you two spend together, the observation that one of you isn't without the other, the smirks and winks you gave Cassidy at the table last night, and to top it all off, the harsh stare you gave Kurt" She was now crossing her arms with a smirk. I laughed. "Yeah, I love competition. Kurt will never win Cassidy's heart." I said, my face now more serious as I said that, showing that I meant what I said. Jean's face relaxed. "Yeah, I know you do, and Kurt does too. I support your relationship, but you need to know that Kurt will do whatever it takes to win Cassidy's heart. He won't back down. Especially not after your fights with him, both inside the cage and out." I looked at down at the ground, a little sad and angry that Jean brought up cage-fighting. With that, she left the room.

The door opened again, this time, it was Cassidy. She came into the room running into my chest, hugging me ever so tightly. I hugged her fiercely in return and gave her soft pecks on her forehead, trying to calm her down. She sobbed ever so quietly into my chest. I felt extremely bad for her.

"Warren?" She said with tears streaming down her cheeks as she sniffled.

"Yes Angel?' I asked, looking straight at her.

"We need to talk"
