Pit blew on the fire.  It wavered a little, like a tree blowing in the wind.  Maybe the light wind already in the air helped, but that was not the point.  Pit looked up in the sky.  A full moon shined across him.

Pit and Kirby were in the middle Whispy Woods.  Trees were surrounding the two heroes in little clearing they were in.  They had set up a fire and they were sitting on two dirty logs.  The two were still finding a way out of Dream Land.  Palutena had only sent Pit there, and he didn't know where the magical kingdom geographically was.  Plus, Pit (more or less) glided through the air than flew through it.  So, they were travelling through the woods to see if there was a way on the other side.  Yet, they were stuck in there so far.  Pit blew on the fire to keep it alive.

"That should keep us a bit longer," Pit announced.  "Get out the food."

Kirby reached behind him in a small sack he was carrying.  It was behind the log he was sitting on, so he had to bend over.  He poured out the sack's contents to reveal a killed Waddle-Dee.  Pit had shot it with an arrow to eat later.  Kirby split it in half with his cutter and gave the bigger part to Pit.  Kirby just inhaled his food, but Pit was roasting it over the fire.

"Hi-yie," Kirby said, crouching over from the raw Waddle-Dee.  Pit could not really understand him, but they had a mutual system of talking, and Pit could usually figure out what he was saying.

"I know," Pit agreed.  "The Waddle-Dees taste disgusting.  But, we can get real food once we get out of this forest.  Kirby nodded his head.

Suddenly, a sudden wind came upon them.  It wasn't the gentle breeze of the nighttime air, but something else.  Pit looked over and saw a shadow cross into a bush.  He stood up and took out his bow.  He then split it into the two dual blades.

"I think we're being followed," he informed Kirby.  The puffball looked the direction Pit was.  Then, another wind, and the shadow swished over to another bush.  Pit up-roared a battle cry and ran for the bush.  Then, he jumped on top of it, blades outward.  He crashed into the bush, sending leaves everywhere.  However, no one was in there.  Pit looked confused.

"Hello there," a heavy Mexican accent greeted.  It was right behind Kirby.  Kirby turned around in shock.  A dark coated figure stood there with a valiant cape and a golden sword.

        It was Meta Knight!

Kirby pulled out his hammer and swung it.  However, Meta Knight vanished.  Then, in a split second, he appeared right in front of Pit.  Pit screamed and swung one of his blades.  However, Meta Knight easily blocked it with his sword.

"I am not here to harm," Meta Knight claimed.  He had a strange Mexican accent, which did not fit his stature.  Pit formed his blades back into a bow and but it away.  Pit now recognized him.  Both Kirby and Pit had been in a Smash Bros game with him.  However, he was sometimes good and sometimes bad.  He could not be trusted.

"What do you want?" Pit asked.  Then, he walked back and sat down on a log.  Meta Knight appeared next to him.

"I want to join you," he said.

"What?" Pit questioned, moving away from him on the log a little.

Meta Knight stabbed Pit's uneaten Waddle-Dee and ate some of it.  "You see," he began.  "I know of your journeys.  You want to go around and find more people help destroy the bad guys.  I can help you with that"

"Hi-yie," Kirby grunted.  He obviously did not want Meta Knight on the journey.

Meta Knight quickly ran over and was on the log next to Kirby in less than a second.  "But, I have something you want," he wagered.  "I know a way out of Dream Land."
