Weird behaviour
.....I yawned, opening my eyes to glance up at my ceiling.
I adjusted my eyes slightly to register that it was the next day. After a minute of adjusting, I turned to my right and noticed that my phone had been laid beside me.
I must've forgotten to charge it after Lamar and Is' call.
Lamar's call. I face timed Lamar last night and I don't recall ever ending it. I quickly got a hold of my phone, turning it on than swiping on the screen to see that I was still on Lamar's chat.
✨😩Zaddy Lamar😩✨
Mornin' stink. You passed out on ft wich'yo tired ahh, and I only noticed the next day💀 so I ended the call. See ya at school.
A large grin plastered on my face as I read those words. Me and Lamar fell asleep on face time. My stomach sprung and so did my body as I launched out of my bed. I had a pep in my step and a tune in my head. I stretched then fixed up my bed, before happily jogging to my curtains and pushing them open.
Suddenly the world seemed so beautiful.
As per usual Mrs Peaches was walking fluffy and I did the unthinkable. Instead of glaring at fluffy, contemplating it's death, I waved at Mrs Peaches. The old lady, slightly taken back by my sudden gesture; she slowly waved back.
What can I say? Life is great at the moment.
I turned around, opening my dresser then thinking about an outfit that best describes my mood and follows the school guidelines.
Stupid ass code of conduct against female dress codes. We all know that shit is directed towards us because men don't trust themselves to keep it in them pants.
I hummed before settling on my favourite denim Jeans and silk blue strapless top. I'd end the fit with black doc Martens and a matching black jacket. It looked quite chilly out so the outfit seemed reasonable. I also hoped the school wouldn't make a fuss about my strapless top, I mean you can hardly notice my chest in it.
I quickly made my way to the bathroom, getting ready then finally putting on my fit. I put on my cross earrings, and a pendant my grandmother gave me before slipping off my bonnet then styling my braids. I settled on a fringe that I tied back, pushing the rest of my hair in a high ponytail. I of course did my edges before applying lip gloss then grabbing my things and making my way down the stairs and into the kitchen. I beamed.
"Morning family"
I walked towards Kayla, pressing a light peck on her forehead before getting seated beside her. My mother furrowed her brows, looking at my dad who also just walked in.
"Wassup with her?"
My dad asked, walking towards my mother and placing a soft kiss on her cheek before getting seated across from us.
"I could ask the same thing. Why so peppy Mani?"
My mother asked, dishing out pancakes on each of our plates. I grabbed the syrup first before letting it glaze the golden pressed cakes. I dug in, humming happily.
