I had been waiting for three hours.
I slouched on the sofa, drinking my Redbull while staring at the TV before me. I sighed, lifting up my phone for what felt like the thirtieth time today. Armani hadn't texted or gotten back to me about getting to my place.

Had she set me up? Or perhaps forgotten?

Maybe her afterschool thing decided to run a bit late.

I unlocked my phone, swiping then going into iPhone messenger. I tapped at her name, cringing at the double text I had left her.

You:
Hey you still busy?
Delivered

You:
It's getting kinda late, you still pulling up or Not?
Delivered

I sighed, deciding not to exceed two texts. Instead; I tapped at her name once more to try and face time her. It barely rung. I couldn't help but clench my jaw.

No way was she standing me up.

I took one last gulp of my Redbull before jumping off the couch, then making my way towards the counter to grab my car keys.

Armani's thoughts
~~

"You not scared of dogs, are you?"

I rose my brows in shock.

"Uh yeah I am, you got dogs!?"

I watched Lamar form a tight grin;

"Two pitbulls.."

I feigned a dramatic faint against the passenger seat, clutching my chest.

"Na Lamar, why ain't you told me this earlier!?"

He shrugged;

"I ain't thought you was scared of dogs bruh, come on man they don't even bite"

"Wow Lamar I ain't never knew yo ass was a dog whisperer, they told you allat?"

I sat up, looking at him with a sarcastic expression. Lamar noticed this then chuckled lightly;

"Do you want me to leave you in this car? Outta here wit all that sarcasm"

I huffed, crossing my arms against my chest.

"I guess this is my new home"

Lamar shook his head playfully before opening the drivers then stepping out. My eyes bugged out slightly as I turned to look his direction.
