Chapter Fourteen- Broken Pieces

Hey viewers! Just a quick message... I am actually writing a new story that I feel will blow this, and my other story, my protective soldier, out of the water. It has more details, more thought, and I think more of a plot. Don't worry though this story will continue. However I could use some ideas and thoughts you all may have about this story, and also what plot lines you would like to see. I thank you all for reading, and I hope you have a great day!

*Bang* "Its my fault, its all my fault." "I never should of made her go without me."

I hear my mates anger in his voice as I hear him heavily stomping around.

I force my eyes to open once again from the darkness. I realize that I am in our bedroom in our house.

I slowly sit up and realize I am not in any pain... how long was I out for?

I stand up and take a few slow steps towards the door. I make it to the door than open it and take on the stairs. Once I am downstairs I look into the living room to see Zach and Ranger sitting on the couch staring at the football game on television.

Zach lifts his head up a little then basically jumps up and turns around in one motion. His eyes lock in with mine and he comes sprinting over to me as fast as possible.

His body almost slams into me but he manages to stop mere inches away.

He stares at me, almost as if waiting for permission to touch me.

Does he really think this was his fault?

I push myself off the wall behind me and put my whole body into his warm body.

His strong arms hold me in place as he puts his face down to mine and starts to passionately kiss me.

Once the kiss is over I lay my head back into his chest and feel tears start to stream down my face.

He quickly pulls me back, "River, whats wrong, did I hurt you?"

I shake my head slowly and basically whisper "I missed you."

He pulls me back into his chest and whispers in my ear "I am never going to leave you alone again."

I hear ranger stand up before saying "you two are ridiculous."

Zach lets out a small growl then is about to speak but I beat him to it.

"Is Carter and Daniel okay?"

Zach can hear the worry laced in my voice as he calmly says "yes they are perfectly fine."

Zach gently puts my hands in his as he says "You go change, then we are going to have some fun today."

I sprint upstairs and run into our closet to change. I come back out with hiking boots on and a jacket.

I go back downstairs and no one is down there. I walk over to the backyard sliding glass door, where I see about twenty members of the pack standing there.

I open the door and they all stop what they are doing and stare at me. I take a few steps back till my body is stopped by something... or should I say someone.

I feel my mates strong arms wrap around me again and he says "you ready?"

"For what?" I ask in pure confusion.

He grabs my hand and we start running into the backyard. The pack makes a path in the middle for us to run through until Zach lets go of me then shifts.

He lays down and looks at me, so I climb on. He stands up then looks back towards the house.

I look back as well to see all of the pack members that are there, shift at once. Next I see Carter, Ranger and Vix come out of the group.

Vix stops in front of the rest of the them while Ranger and Carter show up on both sides of us. Zach lets out a howl before we start running.

I can't help but to start laughing as we start going through the woods.

We are dodging trees, rocks, and fallen logs until we make it to the obstacle course.  Zach stops quickly when he sees a few wolves at it.

Carter snarls and Ranger lets out a bark.

"Zach whats wrong?"

I hear Zach through the link and he says "Just a few dumb rogues, don't worry about it."

I look behind me and I see Vix take off towards the rogues with all of the twenty members behind them.

Carter and Rangers wolves look at each other before they start play fighting. I know they must have said something to one another... I wish I could hear them all the time.

Zach turns towards the direction of our house and we take off again. We arrive at the house and Zach shifts, bringing me into his arms.

We both laugh as he pulls me into the house and up to our bedroom. Zach picks me up and lays me on the bed before climbing into the bed with me.

He puts his lips to mine and starts to pull at my hoodie, and I know what he is doing... I'm not ready.

I can see his wolf take over as his eyes get dark and his force gets stronger.

I push him back but it only makes his wolf want more.

I try to push him again but he doesn't budge. He rips my hoodie into two before I scream out causing his eyes to turn back.

He takes in a quick breath before launching himself off the bed.

He holds the hoodie in his hands in aw before dropping it to the floor and walking to the door.

I jump up as he opens it, grabbing at his arm.

He pulls his arm away and walks a step. I grab his shoulder this time and make him turn around.

Zach's eyes are at the verge of tears until I kiss him.

Once I take my lips off of his I say "Zach, it's okay, look I'm fine."

"No, it's not okay River, I could have hurt you."

"Zach I love you, now don't ruin this day for me."

I walk over to the ripped hoodie, pick it up, and throw it into the garbage.

I walk over to the closet grab a new hoodie and slide it over my head.

Zach grabs my waist and gently pulls me into his warm body.

"I am so sorry baby."

"Apology excepted, now I'll be downstairs waiting for you to take a shower and get dressed you hot Alpha."

I leave him with not only a grin but surprise on his face as I can hear him running to the closet for some clothes.

I get downstairs and make myself a quick sandwich. I cut it into two and I eat a half of the sandwich.

I am not even hungry anymore so I leave the other half for Zach.

I turn around and put the cheese back in the fridge when I hear "we'll what do we have hear?"

I freeze in place...who is in our house?
