I wake up to a cold bed. Zach is nowhere to be seen and our room is freezing.

I roll out of bed and go into the bathroom.

I take the hottest shower possible but it only keeps me warm till I walk back into the bedroom.

I look in the closet and put some dark blue jeans on, a blue shirt, and a warm camouflage jacket.

After throwing my hiking boots on I walk downstairs into the kitchen.

I see a note on the counter, beside a plate full of food.

I had to get up early to train our pack, I decided to make you breakfast beforehand. I wish I could be eating with you but hope you enjoy, love you.
~Zach

A smile crosses my face as I pick up the food and walk outside to the pool area. The sun is brightly shining and it's completely quiet besides the occasional bird in the distance.

Just as I finish my food I hear a small playful growl from behind me. I turn around waiting to see Zach, but it's Carter.

Carter puts his paw in the air like he's waiving then he lays down. I put the plate down and climb onto his back.

He starts to run around in circles then stops and looks at me like he wants to know where I want to go.

"Take me to Zach."

Within a second he is taking off full speed towards the woods. We arrive at a giant clearing where you can clearly see obstacles and benches set up.

Zach is standing in front of about fifty men whom which are all sitting down watching him intently.

Carter slowly walks up to Zach's side and stops.

Zach finishes what he was saying then looks over at us.

He gives me a slight smile then says loudly "now onto a new subject, protecting our women and children of the pack."

"Every single one of you needs to know how to protect your mom, sister, daughter, mate, and even our Luna."

When he says Luna, all of the men instantly look at me like they figured out that I am his mate.

Zach lets out a growl that causes all of the men to look at him.

"With the help of your beautiful Luna, I will show you what you need to be able to do, to protect those you love."

Zach puts his hand out to me as Carter lays down. Zach pulls me into him then says "do you trust me?"

Without a second thought I say "with my life."

With that, Zach shifts with me already on his back. He starts to go through the obstacle course ducking, dodging, throughout the course.

When we hit the middle of it I see Noah's wolf, the beta of the pack.

He growls and starts to chase us, clearly putting on a show for the trainees.

Once we finish the course, Zach and Noah both continue to play fight for a moment before stopping.

Zach shifts without letting me down and I feel the warm heat of his body and his arms hugging me.
