Chapter Fifteen- Relatives

"well what do we have hear?"

The low voice sounds as if it is coming from the living room.

I turn around to get a better look only to see someones body blocking the way.

I look up at his face in confusion and slight fear as I scan his eyes.

I take a few steps back but he only follows me with his own.

My back hits the fridge and he puts his arms out so I am stuck between them.

Without a word he slowly brings his hand up towards my cheek.

I try to focus as hard as I can to mind link Zach.

His hand is mere inches away when I hear a big crash in the living room.

The noise starts again then stops close to us.

The man keeps eye contact with me as he says "hello little brother."

I hear the footsteps stomp over to us as a hand grabs onto the mans shoulder.

The man quickly turns around and thrusts his body forward.

I step out from around the tall mans back to see my mate, who is flying backwards into the living room. He lands right near the couch with pure anger on his face.

I start to run to him but the man grips onto my hoodie and pulls me with him over to the glass screen door.

He moves me behind him then says "come on little brother, that's all you got to save your mate?"

Zach jumps back up and runs towards us. Zach rams into his chest pushing the man back only a step.

Zach plants a powerful punch into his jaw which causes the man to let out a small chuckle.

The man grabs Zach's arm and holds it behind his back so he can't move. With his other arm he grabs my hoodie again and pulls me beside Zach.

"Really brother, how have you not gotten stronger since being with your mate?"

I look at the man in confusion and it is like a light bulb turns on in his mind.

"Your kidding me, you have not completed the mating process?"

Zach lets out a growl before grunting out "Leave her out of this Kent."

Tired of all these questions I yell out "Enough, if you two are really brothers then end your stupid Alpha Battle."

Kent looks over at me again and says "You know what, you are right, this is best settled another way."

All in one motion he throws Zach across the room again, while grabbing my arm and running out the door into the open field between our house and the woods.

He picks me up and shifts into his wolf form then turns around in the middle of the field and waits.

"Kent, I don't know you, but please let me go."

His giant brown wolf head turns and I hear him say "do not worry, you will be safe and sound in your mates arms shortly."

How the hell did I just hear him? I can barely hear Zach sometimes...

Zach comes barreling out of the house and shifts straight into his wolf.

I hear growls from behind me and I turn my head to see Carter.

The two of them try their best to surround us and I hear Kent say "I will let her go, if and only if your Alpha and I can have a one versus one fight."
