Stay with me.

Stay with me.

Stay with me.

Those three words. I had a 100 watt smile going when I went to get dressed. "I have to talk to Kellin. Let him know whats going on. I have to explain to him what happened. Let him know that he's becoming a monster and driving me away." I started to look sad. I pulled on my tie dye hoodie that was always a comfort zone for me, and some black leggings. I glanced over at Vic, who was starting to giggle.

"What is so funny?" I was actually quite confused right now.
"Dear Jenny, I have the same hoodie. Ironically. The same colors and all. That's a sign. You're perfect and we're meant to be." He flashed me that smile that just melts anyone.
"Alright, I'm going to go talk to Kellin. Go ahead and get our stuff packed, will you? Thanks, honey!" I laughed as I walked out to go find my brother.

Not in his room. Okay. Not in the kitchen. Hmm. Not in the attic, basement, music room, or by the pool. All the bathrooms are empty. Where could he have gone?

I sent him a quick message.

J: Kel, we need to talk. Where are you? ):
K: It's fine, Jen. I wont be home til late. Can't you just yell at me l8r?
J: No. Cuz I wasnt going to yell. I was just going to tell you Im leaving for SD, tonight. Vic is letting me stay with him, since Im still looking for a place...

No answer. I was left on read. He was mad. I honestly couldnt do it anymore. I told Vic that Kellin had left and that he wont be back until later. He understood. I joined in on the packing.

"Hey, Jen?"
      "Yes, Vic?"
"Is this yours?" He held up an envelope that had Dearest Jenny written in my mothers handwriting.
"Where did you find that?" I was surprised Kellin kept it. I knew what it was. An apology from my mother for what my father did. She knew he was going to kill her. She didn't want him to kill us, too. She never told him where we were, only sent out those letters before they both died in that car crash.

"Jen, you okay, babe?" Vic was concerned for me. He had no idea what was inside that letter. All he saw was the silent tears that were falling down my face. "Jen?" I felt his arms wrap around me as I continued to sob.

"Vic, where did you find this? Kellin had it hidden from me for years. I've been looking for it for ages."
"It was in the nightstand. I put my journal in there for songwriting and found it. Go ahead and put it in my journal, and we can take it with us. I know your mom was your best friend. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere babe. I promise."

I nodded, finished packing and while I was writing my letter to Kellin about me leaving, Vic was packing up the car. Since Kellin picked him up, we only had my car, which made it a bit easier.

I address the letter, left it out in the obvious for Kellin to find, and let Vic drive us the 4 hours to San Diego to his home.
