todoroki didn't know why. didn't know why he woke up Saturday morning with feelings for his small best friend. todoroki left midoryia's house, getting home and practically running to his room, laying back on his bed after locking the door.

todoroki had no idea why he suddenly fancied midoryia. had no idea at all.
he felt a smile creep onto his face as he thought about his best friend. shooting him a text about subtly thanking him before falling asleep again.

todoroki couldn't focus on his class, staring at midoryia's hair from behind as he sunk into his seat, trying to keep up with the lesson, speed writing and glancing between the board and midoryia. he couldn't keep his eyes off the green haired male. soon, the bell rung. immediately standing up as he heard it, starting to pack his things up when he heard yaoyorozu speak, softly. "todoroki, if you need to borrow my notes. you can!" the black haired girl said as todoroki turned around. handing him a neat stack of paper cards, nice handwriting written perfectly. "you seem distracted, are you alright?"
she asked as todoroki smiled a bit and took them, shrugging. "I've been a little confused lately."

yaoyorozu nodded, thoughtfully and spoke, softly. "Well, I hope you figure it out, todoroki! I don't want you to fall behind!"
she said as she nervously played with her ponytail, biting on his lips, "do you understand the lesson because if not, I can explain it along with the notes!"

yaoyorozu was nervous talking to the taller boy, he was always so serious and barely even cracked a smile. voice always monotone and slightly scary. "that's very kind of you, yaoyorozu. I don't want to intrude on your lunch break though.."

Midoryia walked from the front of the class, tightening his grip on the straps of his backpack, biting on his lip as he watched them, not wanting to interrupt anything.
soon, todoroki was walking over to him with yaoyorozu following close behind,

"midoryia?" todoroki said as he slightly nudged the zoning out boy who jumped back and looked up to see his best friend, smiling. "hey, todo.." midoryia muttered and todoroki spoke, "yaoyorozu is going to explain to the lesson to me. I can't sit with you today.. tomorrow though, ok?"

midoryia frowned but hid it with a fast nod,
"okay! got it! see you two later!"
midoryia said as he ran out of the classroom, clenching his small fist as walked down the hallway.

yaoyorozu had a crush on todoroki, no doubt. she always stared at him and he had heard her talking about him once. she would try to partner up with him and midoryia and hang out with the two.  midoryia didn't mind. he didn't have any right to be jealous it was just, when she hung out with them, she didn't really acknowledge midoryia. she would focus on midoryia's todobird and todobird only.

sitting down with uraraka and Iida, chewing on his rice as his friends talked and almost argued about different types of noodles.
the two liked each other. everyone in their class could see it. they could talk for hours and never get bored and how protective Iida was over uraraka. sighing, midoryia mumbled on his food with a smile, watching the pair.

when class rolled around again, midoryia walked to class with katsuki. the taller male still didn't like midoryia a whole lot but he tolerated him now. "kacchan! wait up!" midoryia whined as he chased after a running katsuki, "no way, nerd! you said you want to race!" with that, kacchan made it to the 1-A classroom and walked in, a panting midoryia following behind, taking their seats.

"you're so fast, k-kacchan."
Katsuki chuckled, glancing behind at the nerd and cracked a smug smirk before his eyes drifted to todoroki who seemed to be watching them, snapping, " what the fuck are you looking at, icy hot?" upon hearing that, midoryia looked behind and saw todoroki who was in fact looking at them.
todoroki gave a dismissive shrug and looked away, staring at his desk.

todoroki was starting to not like midoryia around bakugo, if they had run in here together, they must have been hanging out, right? shaking his head as he held back a sigh. during class, only staring at the two who was whispering to each other about something.

soft sighs left his lips as he stared at his best friend, being dragged out of his thoughts by a soft bell going off. class had ended and he didn't write anything done. shit. he didn't want to ask yaoyorozu because he didn't want to be a pain so he quickly packed up before getting up and biting his lip.

Walking to midoryia who was heading to the door, "hey! wait up!" todoroki said as he grabbed onto his wrist to stop him, midoryia looking up at him and smiling, "let's walk together.." todoroki muttered, midoryia nodded, quickly.  "alright!"
