“This one is definitely going to keep me up at night.” Kiera shivered as opening credits begun for  paranormal activity.

“Yah, there’s a reason I still haven’t seen this movie.” James laughed.

Throughout the movies James’ phone had rung a few times.

“You should probably answer, it might be important.”

“Nah, I’m sure it’s fine.”

But it rang again. Kiera peaked at his screen, which read Bianca.

“Bianca?” She asked.

He simply just nodded.

“Is she going to be mad if she knew you were here?” Kiera asked.

“No, of course not.”

“Aren’t you guys...” She stammered. “You know? A couple?”

“Me and Bianca?” James sounded shocked. “No. She was more of a childhood crush.” He laughed.

Kiera knew it was wrong but she was relieved to hear that.

A large gunshot noise came from outside that made both of them jump.

“Fireworks.” James laughed.

Kiera ran to her balcony followed by James.

“I forgot it was Victoria Day.” She admitted.

“We’ll get a better view from my place, come on.”

His place was always the same, neat but seemed messy because of his variety of guitars and music sheets lying on the floor. His balcony consisted of a stool, a woven chair and one of his acoustic guitars.

He gestured for me to sit on the chair while he went back in. It was true, the fireworks were seen clearly from his balcony. James came back out with two sweaters, he tossed one over to Kiera and he put on his own.

“I don’t really have blankets.” He shrugged with a laugh.

She threw on his sweater, obviously it was massive but extremely comfy. She could smell his scent and tried not to make it obvious but she loved that smell.

They both sat in silence as they admired the bright fireworks.

“I haven’t seen fireworks in the longest time.” James stated.

“Yah, this is really nice.” She smiled.

Kiera noticed his guitar lying there and a sudden thought had occurred to her.

“You should play me a song.” She said.

“No way.” He snickered.

“Please.” Kiera whined.

“Fine, what do you want me to play.” He picked up the guitar.

“Hmm. I don’t know, anything.”

He started to softly strum the strings.

He started to sing their own single Wild Heart, acoustic version, it made her heart melt.
