Chapter 17

Ryan and Jordan wake up to Jordan's alarm clock.
"Sorry about that I gotta go to work. You can stay as long as you need." Jordan said
"I think I'm gonna head out too." Ryan said rubbing his eyes.
They both walked down stairs and Steve was making breakfast. Ryan looked over at Steve who was giving him the evil eye. Ryan shook his head and walked outside. He looked around and saw Colby sitting on a bench bouncing a ball. Ryan sat down on the bench next to Colby.
"So, how long have you been here?" Colby asked
"Not long, maybe a month." Ryan said
"What about before this place, how'd you survive out on the road?" Colby asked
"It's been tough but I made it through." Ryan said
"Yeah, it's weird the people in here don't even know what it's like out there. I think David and I are gonna try and get on the supply run team. I need to stay sharp." Colby said
"Yeah.... so you and David? You're..." Ryan said
"Boyfriends." Colby said
"Yeah." Ryan said
"We've known each other our whole lives almost. He's my best friend and with everything we've been through we just ended up together." Colby said
David came walking up and Colby stood up.
"It was nice talking to you." Ryan said
"Same to you." Colby said
David and Colby walked to the town hall to Pete's office.
"What can I do ya for?" Pete asked
"We'd like to help go look for supplies, pull our own weight you know?" David said
"If that's what you wanna do I'll let Ollie know and you guys can go on today's run." Pete said
"Okay thanks." Colby said
They both left and found Ollie out by the truck.
"The boss radioed and said you guys are coming with us." Ollie said
"Yep." David said
"Hope you guys are ready for this." Ollie said
"Trust me we can handle it." Colby said
They got in the truck and met Ollie's friend Cody. Ollie got in the drivers seat and they headed into the town that wasn't too far away from the safezone.
"Ok be on the lookout for food and medicine, that's what's needed the most anything else is a bonus." Ollie said
"Alright." David said
"Cody and I will go east and you two go west, we meet back here in 2 hours." Ollie said
"Sounds good." Colby said
Colby and David walked through the town and a couple zeds came out of an alley.
"I get left, you get right?" David said
"Yep." Colby said
Colby pulled his bat off his back and David pulled out a knife and they walked toward the zeds. Colby swung the bat first and killed the zombie in one hit to the head. David came in right after and stabbed the other in the head.
"We still got it." Colby said
"Yeah we do." David said smiling
They walked into the first building and cleared the whole building.
Colby started going through cabinets and drawers looking for food and medicine. He found a couple bottles of aspirin and some canned food. David was looking through the bedrooms and found a couple of pill bottles in some bedside drawers. Then he looked at the wall and saw a glass display with two polished colt 1911s in it.
"Um, Colbs come here a minute." David said
Colby walked in and saw the guns and dropped his bag.
"Do you think they work or are they just display?" Colby asked
David broke the glass and they both grabbed a gun and dropped the magazines and they were both full of bullets. They both looked at each other and smiled.
"This is convenient since we left ours at the last safezone." David said
They both put their new guns in their neglected holsters. They went to the roof of the building and looked around.
"How long we got?" David asked
"About half and hour." Colby said
"Let's just hang out for a bit." David said
They sat on the edge of the roof.
"Did you call me Colbs earlier?" Colby asked
"Yeah, why?" David said
"No reason." Colby said smiling
"What?" David said looking at Colby
"It's cute." Colby said
"No it's not. Don't call it that." David said
"But it is though." Colby said
"No." David said
"Not as cute as you though." Colby said
Colby and David both smiled and leaned in and started making out. Soon Colby was reaching for David's cock and he managed to grab it causing David to jump a little. David reached around grabbing the back of Colby's head forcing him into the kiss harder. Then he pulled away.
"We gotta go. We can finish this later." David said
They met back up the Ollie and Cody and headed back to the safezone.

Sean noticed Jordan walking home from the hospital and caught up with him.
"Hey what's going on in this place?" Sean asked
"What do you mean?" Jordan asked
"There's been two murders here in a two day span." Sean said
"Yeah I know. It's gonna be okay my dad and John are looking into it." Jordan said
"What do you mean looking into it? How many more people are gonna die before you guys figure it out?" Sean asked
They both stopped
"Listen, this hasn't happened here before we're doing our best if you can do any better than please do. We're scared, and don't know what to do." Jordan said
Then Ryan walked over.
"Everything okay over here?" Ryan asked
"Yeah we were just talking about jobs." Jordan said
"Yeah I've been meaning to ask if I can work in the hospital with you. Maybe you can teach me?" Ryan asked
"Yeah, we can do that." Jordan said
"Ryan, you haven't been here long have you?" Sean asked
"No maybe a month or so. Why?" Ryan asked
"I was just wondering." Sean said
Sean walked away as he was walking he looked back and saw Ryan looking at him.
