* A few months later *
"So Tyler, I've been meaning to ask. How did you find us exactly?" David asked
"Honestly? Luck. I just picked a direction I figured you guys would go and went that way. I saw the signs for the safe zone and figured I'd check it on the way through. But I found you guys so I guess I'm gonna stick around." Tyler said
"What happened to the last place?" Colby asked
"A lot of people left. They didn't think Evan could keep them safe. I guess they didn't realize what it's like out there." Tyler said
"That sucks. I liked a lot of those people, maybe some will end up here." Colby said
"Maybe." Tyler said
Jordan walked into the jail and saw Ryan sitting on the bench in the back.
"You still alive?" Jordan asked
"Sadly." Ryan said
"Stop talking like that, it's not good for you." Jordan said
Ryan stood up and walked over to the bars.
"What do you know? I'm broken!" He yelled
"Ryan you're not broken, you can recover from this." Jordan said
"I fucking can't. I've killed people, good people, and that's something I'm going to have to live with." Ryan said
"I don't know what to say Ryan." Jordan said starting to tear up.
"I...I need you to tell me I'm a good person, I know that I've done things, things that I can't take back, but deep down, underneath all of that. I'm a good person." Ryan said also tearing up
"You are. I truly believe that you are. You just need some help..... I love you." Jordan said
"What....what do you want me to say? I love you? I don't love anyone I don't even love my self." Ryan said
"You said you were in love with me." Jordan said
"I say a lot of things, I don't even know who I am anymore." Ryan said a tear rolling down his face.
Jordan walked out the door, and leaned up against it crying. Tyler was walking by and saw him so he went over.
"You okay?" Tyler asked
"No, just go away." Jordan said
"Im Tyler, Colby, and David's friend. I don't think we've met yet." Tyler said
"I'm Jordan, are you gonna go away yet?" Jordan asked
"I don't think so." Tyler said
Tyler sat down next to Jordan.
"My friend in there, he's the serial killer. I know that sounds horrible but I know that wasn't him. He's a great person inside he just wasn't himself." Jordan said
"Maybe he just needs someone to talk to." Tyler said
"Everyone here is scared of him, and he won't talk to me." Jordan said
"I'll talk to him." Tyler said
"Really?" Jordan asked
"Yeah sure. Everyone needs a little help every now and again." Tyler said
"Thanks." Jordan said
They stood up and Jordan hugged Tyler. Tyler walked into the jail and pulled a stool over in front of the bars.
"Who are you?" Ryan asked
"Tyler." Tyler said
"You must be the new kid Jordan is always talking about." Ryan said
"Well it's been a few months but yeah." Tyler said
"So why are you here?" Ryan asked walking over to the bars
"I just came to talk." Tyler said
"Yeah? Well what do you want to talk about Tyler?" Ryan asked
Tyler looked Ryan up and down. Ryan had his shirt unbuttoned because it was starting to warm up again and he could see Ryan's abs.
"Whatever you want." Tyler said
"Now I've seen that look before. If you want it all you have to do is ask." Ryan said
"No, I want to know how you're feeling." Tyler said
"Like hammered shit, thanks for asking." Ryan said
"That's not what I meant." Tyler said
"Well honesty I just need some time. I know what I did was wrong and there is nothing I can do to change that. I just want to prove that I can change." Ryan said
"How do you suppose you're do that?" Tyler asked
"Talk to your people, have them give me a chance to go out and help pull my weight. Hell I'll farm or anything." Ryan said
"I don't know I gotta get to know you a little bit more before I can do that." Tyler stood up and walked over to the bars face to face with Ryan.
He reached out and put his hand on Ryan's chest and rubbed down to his abs and pulled it away. Ryan looked at him and smirked.
"I'll see you again this tomorrow?" Tyler asked
"I'm not going anywhere." Ryan said
Tyler laughed and walked outside where Jordan was waiting.
"How did it go?" Jordan asked
"Good he wants a chance to prove he's changed. But I don't trust him enough yet to talk to Pete." Tyler said
"Okay, we'll get there soon enough." Jordan said
