Ryan and Tyler ran through the woods away from the safe zone after Ryan sent the truck in.
"That was awesome." Tyler said
"Yeah, that should show them. There's no way they're getting out of there. On top of that if the wall falls that should take care of the lot of them." Ryan said

"It's not gonna hold much longer, we're gonna have to fight our way through and try and block the hole." David said

The wall started to fall down and the zeds we're pushing over it.

The wall fell to the ground with a loud thud, zeds started pouring through the hole. David and walked over to the cart and grabbed an automatic rifle.
"You know how to use that thing?" Sean asked
"Let's find out." David said
David pulled the charging handle back and started spraying bullets into the horde. Everyone else at the front grabbed guns and started shooting into the horde as well. Eventually they had wiped out almost half but the they were running out of ammo. David fired his last shot and threw the gun on the ground. He pulled out a machete walked up to the zeds and started slashing them, soon most of the townspeople joined him. With everyone pitching in they were fighting their way through the zeds. Jake ran into the horde and started hitting zeds with his hammer. A zed grabbed him and bit into his neck, he fell to the ground and a group of zeds kneeled down to eat him.
"No!" David yelled running over but he was too late. He slashed the zeds on him but Jake was almost unrecognizable. He got back into the fight and after about 20 minutes the zeds were all dead. David stood there looking over the hundreds of dead zeds laying around him. He dropped his machete and looked over at all of the people who were covered in blood and out of breath.
"We did it." David said relieved
"Didn't you think we would?" Jordan asked
"Yeah I did. Sean, Ash, grab some people and patch up the wall." David said
"Sure." Sean said
"Jordan, me and you will take the other half and pile up these bodies so we can burn them. I want to make sure Jake is buried proper. He was a good man, took Colby and I in when we were out on our own." David said
David and Jordan started piling up bodies along with some of the other townspeople.
"Thanks for leading us through that." A guy said to David.
"It's what Pete would've wanted." David said
David walked over to the middle of the safe zone and picked up the guns sitting them back on the cart. He looked around at everyone doing their part and smiled to himself.
Ryan and Tyler watched from a water tower near the safe zone.
"Son of a bitch, they did it." Ryan said putting down his binoculars
"How?" Tyler asked
"I don't know.....well time for plan b." Ryan said
Ryan grabbed a rifle from next to him and aimed it toward the safe zone. He aimed down the scope with his crosshairs on David's head, and he pulled the trigger. The bullet flew through the air and hit David in the head. David fell down to the ground.
"No! David!" Jordan yelled
He ran over and saw blood pouring from David's head. Ryan cycled another round into the chamber and looked back down the scope aimed at Jordan.
"Someone come help me get him to the infirmary!" Jordan yelled
Ryan put his finger on the trigger but pulled it back off and put the gun down.
"Why didn't you shoot?" Tyler asked
"Let's go." Ryan said
Jordan and Sean carried David to the infirmary.
"Is he still alive?" Sean asked frantically
