The sun in my eyes

••• I walk up to him and put my hand on his shoulder..
Work ends and Toni and I walk to his house together. The sun is out and I close my eyes and hold out my arms and feel the warmth. Ahh this feels nice. I get the feeling of someone watching me. I sigh and continue walking.
" this feels nice I love the sun so much"
I smile fiddling with my sweater again.
" why are you always fiddling with stuff... you don't need to be nervous it's fine"
I quit fiddling with my sweater and look at him.
* He's right I don't need to be nervous I feel like I have known him for years for some reason what is this*
" yea.. sorry uhm I hear Grady"
We chuckle.
" He must see us through the window"
Toni unlocks his door and we walk in. I drop my bookbag off by the door and he comes running in. I smile so wide and pet him. I love this dog so much.
" Hey you ready for some food Grady c'mon let's go eat... I'll meet you outside Ollie"
I look up quickly confused.
" uh-uh o-okay"
I slowly. Hesitantly walk outside in the back yard and sit on the grass looking at the sun and clouds. I hear footsteps and he sits next to me. I look over he has mason jars filled with water.
" thought you might want something to drink here"
I take the water and hold it both my hands and look at the sky.
" you okay?"
I look over at him smiling.
" oh yea I am fine thank you just looking at the beautiful clouds and the sun. It's nice here"
" Yea... oh I have a friend you should meet who is coming over tomorrow his name is Tyler... you'll love him"
I look over and smile and look at the drink.
" I don't have very many friends because most of them were backstabbers and always told rumors about me... I have a few real friends and I have a lot of loving followers on tiktok but they live in different places"
" well you have me and I am not going anywhere neither is any of my friends they'll love you trust me"
I chuckle looking at the ground. And sigh.
" mmm enough of me... how about you"
" nothing really to tell"
" I doubt that"
" it is true.."
I put down the mason jar and stand up and stretch.
" Do you want to go on a walk?"
He looks up
" yea let's go"
We walk outside and continue walking to... I don't know somewhere I guess. I looks like to be a trail. It is beautiful.
" Toni....c- can I tell you something"
He looks over kinda worried.
" sure anything"
I start shaking and getting nervous.
" so there is this girl who keeps harassing me and making fun of my cosplays and everything about me and a bunch of other stuff that is one reason I have been scared to be around you and just have anxiety and nervous all the time that and I have had bad friends before and not a real relationship with a person before. They've all been... backstabbers."
" who is she?"
I start fiddling with my hands.
" please stay out of this Toni I can do it myself... I was going to go and let the word out for the reason I am so nervous and haven't been posting..."
" but I want to help"
" No... just please no"
I continue walking.
" I have to head home I have to feed my lizard. And clean my room."
He smiles a little bit.
" I-I to reorganize my room and I have to organize my cosplay it is a mess"
" well I can help you"
" Thanks but I can do it... thanks for walking with me and inviting me in your house but I have to go"
" Why do I have a feeling you are trying to avoid me? You're always acting nervous and always leaving early you didn't get to meet Tyler yet... c'mon please stay a little longer..."
" I would love to but I have a room to clean and reorganize... uhm how about I meet him tomorrow and hang out with you guys all day since we do not have work and uhh I will buy all of us lunch.."
I began to walk away.
" lunch is on me."
I walk away and head home. I disappear and go home. Hours later of me cleaning and reorganizing my room and head to my kitchen and sit on the counter. Since I do not have anything to do i call Toni.
" hey are you busy right now?"
" no just chilling and baking with tyler"
" oh Tyler's there oh I am coming over be there less than 5"
I hang up and put on my shoes grab my keys and lock my door and I run over to Toni's house and knock on his door. Tyler answers. I smile and walk in.
" you must be Olivor"
" a-year you must be Tyler.. pleasure..pleasure"
He smiles and I walk in and pet Grady. God I love this dog.
The next day Tyler, Toni and I are chilling outside and it is a nice sunny day and we are out walking and I am in between Tyler and Toni and they keep purposely pushing me and squeezing me.
" Stop I an very claustrophobic "
I try not to smile.
" I am being honest too"
They stop and I move away from between them and walk beside Tyler.
" so whatever you guys want to eat I will pay.. lunch is on mee.."
The day goes on and I look over at Toni and I am immediately blind. Not in a bad way. I can't tell if it's the sun in my eyes or if  I think this is gonna work. I smile and continue walking. I do not think it is the sun. My future is standing right in front of me.
