XXXVIII: Tomato?

Today Mom asked me to help out in the hospital. So I guess I could say that I'm ... helping by checking on some patients on the second floor. She said that after i'm done with the list, I could just go back and return the results.

This will be the last room that i'll be checking. Room 2-G: Jang Gyuri. Wait ... Jang Gyuri!? I rushed into the room, she was also surprised to see me dashing in.

"Yena?"

"Yeah" I looked at her papers. It says that she had an accident which made her have an arm muscle strain. But she's almost fully recovered. "How's your arm?"

"I feel great! But it does hurt from time to time" Her arm does look as if it was healing just fine. "What happened?"

"Uhhh ... just something stupid, dont worry about it" I just nodded. I asked her how the others were doing. And we just continued to catch up on each other. "Yena, don't tell anyone about this okay?"

"Sure, but why?" She explained that she doesn't want them to worry plus only her parents know about this. After a few chats I decided to say goodbye and leave.

So what should I do now? ... I stopped in the middle of the hallway trying to remember what I was supposed to do. Then it struck me, I have to go find Tomi and return the results.

Where could I find her though? Maybe in the third floor? Nah, she's likely with mom. Maybe in the check-up room.

[Third Person POV]

Yena walked through the hallway like a lost chick looking for her mother. She went back and forth remembering where she should go until she found a sign that lead to the check-up room.

She walked exitedly as she finished her task. Which means her parents would raise up her allowance again.

On the other hand.

There were only two people left sitting outside the check-up room. One was waiting for his turn while the other one was friendly enough to keep him company.

"You mean, you haven't tried riding a rollercoaster?" The girl just shaked her head.

"How could I? Plus I heard that it's a bit scary" They just kept on talking and getting to know each other. The girl thought that talking to a stranger wasn't that bad of an idea.

Yena just made a left and had only a few steps before arriving at her destination. She saw two people sitting outside the room. They were laughing quietly but enough for her to hear. The voice she heard was a bit familiar but she couldn't remember whose it was.

As she kept walking she started mumbling to herself. She wasn't sure if her guess was right. But it sounded so familiar to her.

"Yuri?" She mumbled to herself but the other two heard her.

"Yena unnie?" She realized that she was right. It was Yuri, she glared at the guy who was sitting with her. While Yuri was glad to hear Yena's voice.

"What are you doing- "

"Hey, Hi ... you must be Yuri's friend I'm-" Yena didnt let him finish and went to Yuri.

"What are you doing here? with him?" Yena said it in the most calm way she could. She didnt want Yuri to think that she was furious again or smth.

"I-I'm waiting for Dr. Choi to finish. And he's waiting for his turn. He just asked if he could keep me company while waiting and I said yes" Yena was baffled but she stayed calm since Yuri was there. She gave a gaze at the guy who was confused on what was happening.

"Are you also here to meet-"

"No" She answered him before he could even finish. The guy was still confused but he shrugged it off. He was going to go back to his seat next to Yuri but Yena stopped her.

"What's your problem?" He started to try questioning Yena's actions. But she ignored him.

"Yuri?" Yuri faced his direction. Which made Yena a bit annoyed. "Is your friend always like this?"

"What do you mean!?" Yena felt offended a bit but Yuri calmed her down. The guy sat next to Yuri on the other side.

"Actually, No" the kept on nodding as Yuri explains Yena's actions. "She only does this when i'm with people that she dosen't know" He kept on nodding until he got the idea.

"Ah! You're jealous!" Yena was surprised on how the guy suddenly spoke that. "No, i'm not" Yena was sulking and showing off a weird jealous and annoyed look.

"Yes, you are ... ohhhh my! Yuri, I wish you could see her right now" the guys suddenly started to tug Yuri lightly which made her more jealous. "Now, she's becoming a tomato"

"Wha-what!? Yuri, Do you believe this guy?" Yena and the other guy waited for Yuri's answer.

"I-I ... actually believe him" Yena felt defeated. And worse the guy kept on teasing him.

Yena left the two and went straight into her mother's office without even knocking. The two were left confused.

"Did I do something wrong?" Yuri nodded. "Don't worry, I could handle her"

She entered sulking, the doctor noticed it but tried to ignore.

"Are you done with your work?" Since her mother had a patient, it wasn't right for her to just throw a tantrum  so she just nodded and sat on a chair.

It didn't take long for the check-up to finish. And the guy outside was asked to enter, which made Yuri wait outside alone.

Yena was still sulking at the corner. But it made him annoyed when the guy entered the room. As soon as he entered the first thing that he saw was Yena, it made him smile.

"Yah! Your friend is sitting alone outside" He said it with a smile on his face. Yena stood up and went outside. The doctor was confused on what was happening but she shrugged it off and started the check-up.

On the other hand. Yena sat beside Yuri, they were both quiet.

"Why did you even talk to that guy?" Yena said still sulking, with her arms crossed around her chest.

"Why are you jealous? Or maybe turning into a tomato?" Yena became annoyed once again. Hearing those words from Yuri made her more annoyed.

"Answer my question first" Yuri gave her a small smile. She thought that sulking Yena was really cute to hear.

"He was nice, plus I didn't want to look like a cold person" Yena was still sulking amd Yuri could feel it.

"But- but why?! You shouldn-"

"Answer my question now" Yena didn't bother to finish her sentence. But she was a bit nervous answering the question.

"ummmm ... yes" Yuri gave her a soft giggle "Yes what?"

"Yes, I was jealous. But i'm not turning into a tomato!"
