XXIII: The day

(Three days after Nako went to the hospital)
[Yujin's POV]

I've been waiting for this day to come. This is the day that I would finally be surprising Wonyoung. It's been more than a week since I last talked to her. I stayed up all night to prepare for my plan. I just hope that she likes it. I went to Minju unnie's room as fast as I could. I didnt want to be catched by Wonyo.

"How's the plan? Everything all set?" She nodded as she was checking the list of things needed. I could always count on unnie to help me in these kinds of things. "All you need is for Wonyoung to come"

"I could handle that ... This is gonna be the best day ever!" Exactly one year ago is the day that she and I first met. And since were a couple now, I could surprise her with this.

"I think she's mad at you or something" I just shaked my head and told her its nothing. It took me a whole week preparing that's why I didnt have enough time to spend with Wonyoung. Minju keeps on insisting that I should go to her. But I like the tension, I would love to see her angry face be surprised. Then after that she would hug and kiss me.

She told me that she'd take care of stuff and I need to get dressed. So my plan is to leave a note in her door saying to meet me at the rooftop. Minju unnie and I will be waiting for her to come. And when she comes Minju will leave us locked for three hours. And that is how I will get the best day ever.

As soon as I went out of Minju's room. My beautiful baby was standing in front. She looks a bit angry at me but It will all pass, after the surprise.

"We need to talk" yup, we really need to talk. I want to talk about our future plans together and our secrets just like before. So I just nodded at her, but for the plan to work I need to stay away from her a bit. "We can talk later, Minju unnie and I are actually busy"

"Just give me a few minutes" she grabbed my arm but I just smiled at her and ran to my room. I may hurted her feelings a little and she might scold me but who cares, my plan needs to work.

I left the note and knocked three times before leaving. When I reached the rooftop everything was all set. The flowers the table, soothing music and best of all, the food. I also had gifts for her placed on the table. Minju unnie is assigned to throw the confetti when Wonyoung arrives. I really dont know how to do all this without her.

We waited for her to come up. I was hoping that she'd run here, that would make it more romantic. It's been ten minutes, maybe she's still fixing herself. Ten minutes became 30 minutes but she still wasnt here. Minju was trying to comfort me but I still had hope in me.

I told her that we'd just go for plan B and I'll go get Wonyoung myself. I ran as fast as I could to her room and knocked. "Didnt you see the note?"

"I saw it" then she closed the door, fortunately I stopped her. "Hey ... let's go to the rooftop!" Then I grabbed her hand and ran. We were running together and my plan was still on a go. Everything was going great when she let go. We were staring at each other in the stairs, she sat down as I went to sat next to her.

"Why are you doing this?" She was looking down, looking a bit sad. It made me worry for her, but I just know that she'll be happy when she sees the surprise. "I want to show you something"

"I wanna be honest with you, I think we should break up" break up, break up. That was all that popped in my head. Is she even for real? Why is she saying this?

"Wha-what d-do y-you me-me-mean?" Tears were already falling as she tried to wipe it off my face. I pushed her hand away and told her that I wanted an explanation.

"It's just I dont feel anything anymore, I know you feel the same since you always hang out with Minju" I just cant understand her. Why? We were happy together, its just that ... I couldnt handle anything, the tears just fall. "I dont get you"

"unnie, the last time we talked was a week ago. Everytime I try to talk to you, you run away or say your busy with Minju unnie. You dont even call or text me anymore, or even just visit my room ... In short I think that it would be better if we just become friends, just like before" my brain couldnt process anything and the tears just freely fall. I feel dizzy, my eyes just wanna close. Why is this happening to me?

"YUJIN!!!" After that everything went dark.

Minju and I are waiting for her to come at the rooftop. She came exactly as it was planned. Wonyoung is already crying, she hugged me and thanked me for the surprise.

My plan worked, all those sleepless nights. Finished. Minju unnie locked us both on the rooftop. Everything is just perfect. She's smiling at me then she started to dance. I stood up and danced next to her. She was going closer to the corner, she could've fall but I saved her.

Because of me trying to save her, now my life is on the line. "Wonyoung, pull me up" she grabbed my hands.

"Sorry unnie, but I think we should break up" then she let go. I'm crying and falling, my body hit the ground as I couldnt feel anything.

"Yujin ... yujin, wake up!" Tears flow as I remembered about my Great plan. "Where's Wonyoung?"

"She brought you here then kissed you and left. She told me to take care of you ... what happened?"

"We broke up"
