I stand frozen in place. Not knowing what to do or what to say. I didn't want things to result like this but now I have to deal with this situation. I need to get on good terms with him. So far things are going downhill for me.

The thick tension in the air keeps rising. I didn't think this would happen, let alone on the first day.

Mr Park sits back in his seat. His eyes never leaving mine. His strong gaze piercing through me.

"Why did you ask them to leave?" I question, to break the tension that keeps growing between us.

"So we could be alone" he responds bluntly.

I roll my eyes at his comment.

"You see y/n the first time we met you could have handled the problem a lot better, when I ask for something you do it". He says in a cold tone while slamming his hands on his desk.

"I like the girls who work for me to be obedient and in order for that to happen you must listen to me".

I'm baffled. Is he serious? He wants me to be obedient? After I didn't pick up a piece of paper off the floor for him? Is he insane?

"So y/n what's is going to be?" He says with an arrogant smile. "Are you going to follow my rules? My terms and conditions?". He says with too much confidence, while leaning back into his chair.

I walk up to him and place my hands on the wooden surface. "Look I will do anything you say because it's my job and I have too, but I will not pick up something you dropped yourself. Let me get this straight, I'm your assistant not your dog. Something stupid like that you can do yourself".

The adrenaline within me has reached its peek and I feel so proud for standing up for myself. From the look on his face I know he wasn't expecting my outburst.

He leans over his desk causing our faces to be only inches apart. We were so close. Close enough that I can feel his breathe against me. His eyes exploring each aspect of my face. As I repeat the same actions with him. We're really close. Too close. I back away and he moves his head to the side. Is that shame he's feeling right now?

"Get out" he shouts.

What? I wasn't expecting that. He was meant to reply with a sly comment. Regret washes all over me. What have I just done? Why did I speak to him like that? He's my boss and I acted so inappropriately. Have I just thrown away my career before it's even started?

"Didn't you hear me? I said get out!" He screams at me but more louder this time.

My body shakes from his tone. He's infuriated. I gather myself together and quickly leave his office closing the door behind me.

I'm greeted by Namjoon and Jin who have been waiting outside the entire time. I bow out of respect and scurry away to my desk.

This was not how my first day was meant to go...

Weeks have passed since I've been working at PJM Firms. The past few weeks have been difficult and stressful. Getting used to working here has been a challenge but Jungkook has been helping me with the workload. Things have been awkward between Mr Park and I. I see him everyday and he still wears the same cold expression he's worn since the elevator incident. Purposely he's been pushing me to my limit. Making me work extra hours for him. Running around for him. Making coffee for him. I know he's doing it to spite me after the way I talked to him the other day.

But today's finally Friday and it means I have the next two days off from work. Amanda, Hobi and I have arranged to meet for drinks. It feels like years since I last went out with them. We live very separate lives with very different schedules, so when we do meet it feels special.

Hobi is my childhood best friend. We used to be neighbours when we were five years old up until the age of seventeen. His family decided to move to Seoul for his fathers promotion. It was devastating for me because we have always been together from a very young age. He's like my other half. But since I moved to Seoul to study business I got to see him a lot more. Being reunited with him feels amazing although it is difficult to see him most of the time. He's a dance teacher at a company called Bighit Entertainment. Dancing has always been his passion since he was a child. I've loved seeing him grow and achieving his dreams.

Amanda is also one of my best friends from home. We knew each other in primary school but didn't start talking until secondary. I never used to like her and she never liked me at first. Until we had a mutal friend. From then we have been inseparable. We've always stuck by each other. We have our ups and downs but all friendships do. We both moved to Seoul when we decided to study in university. She studied psychology while I studied business. Two very different career paths but one very special bond. Now that I work at PJM Firms she works in one of the best psychological departments in Seoul. I'm so proud of both of us for accomplishing our dreams and what made it special is that we did it together.

The time's now 17:00 indicating that my day's over. I sigh in relief and remember the plans I have for tonight.
