Aizowa had said the fighting teams and everyone was excited, nervous, and quite possibly scared for their first fights since they all came to UA.
Kokichi was all the emotions not just for him but still his beloved and his friends. Some of them had tactical powers some had mind powers such as him and Shuichi and others had close combat and not close combat powers.
Kokichi still doesn't know who has what powers except for the people he cares about and that's what scared him most. "Alright so each person will have their name and fighting partners name on a piece of paper and will be drawn from a bowl, whomevers names I draw from the bowl will fight" Aizowa said still in the same bored tone as always.
He shuffled the paper around and picked one up, it was just a white piece of paper with white out on the back, he opened it "Denki Kamanari and Tsuyu Asui" he read aloud. Kokichi glanced over at them they were both very excited.
They both stepped to the opposite sides of the ring where the steps were. The rest of the students went to the seats because they were in a area. Midnight then cleared her throat no one had noticed she was up so high to be the referee
"All right in order to win you have to get your opponent out of bounds or immobilized them here are the rules: use your quirk as best as possible to push your opponent out of bounds, don't try to kill them, have fun, and win" Midnight said in a cheery voice "alright ready? Set go!!" Midnight said in a loud voice and the fight begun.
Denki had used 1000 watts on Tsuyu and missed. He was about 2000 watts away from being in a dumb state. While being lost in thought Denki didn't realize that Tsuyu wrapped her tounge around him after he had realize she threw him out of bounds.
Kokichi winced at Denki being thrown "must hurt" Kokichi thought out loud. Shuichi heard him and nodded
"The winner is Tsuyu Asui!" Midnight announced as Denki was being taken to the nurse to make sure he was fine. "Alright" Aizowa spoke up and put his hand in the bowl again "the next fight is-" he pulled up the paper and unfolded it "Kokichi Oma and Tenya Iida" Kokichi froze at his name being called and looked at Shuichi then Tenya "god I hope he's useless"
