LARA'S OUTFIT ABOVE

The rest of the day goes by in a blur. I barely pay attention in Italian(which makes me look dumb when I make a billion mistakes after Professora Ferrari orders me to do a simple translation). In History, for half the time we were given to write our essays about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, I can only hear the satisfying bounce of a basketball. The same happens in my other lessons.

At lunch, guess who I bumped into. Logan. This morning, I only just announced I'm joining the basketball team and yet, the annoying boy is back as if he knew that I'd change my mind and was waiting.

"So you changed your mind?" Logan asks, an unbearable smirk appearing on his face.

I was so close to dumping my entire school lunch on his face but the thought of wasting average quality food on a useless boy just about stopped me.

"Wipe that smirk off your face."

"It seems like your negative personality hasn't changed, however."

I roll my eyes.

"Be careful, Luna. I am the captain so Coach has assigned me with the job that if team members don't have the right attitude then I kick them off. It would be a shame to get rid of you before your first practice."

"Logan, I think you're just finding an excuse to get me off the team."

"Why would I do that when I was the one who was bugging you to join it?"

"Because you didn't expect me to be good as you."

It's Logan's turn to roll his eyes.

"Good as me! Luna, you're clearly dreaming!"

"Exactly! In fact, I'm better."

I smirk victoriously.

"You're clearly-Logan!"

Both Logan and I turn around, looking for the person who interrupted our conversation(or more like argument). Behind us is a girl, the same height as me and looks about my age too. Her blonde, shoulder-length hair is tied into a messy ponytail and she is wearing a cute sweater with black jeans and Dr Martens.

"How long, Lara, have you been eavesdropping on our chat?" Logan asks, annoyed.

"Long enough to know that you've found a new person to annoy."

Wow! I've only just met this girl and she already understand me!

"Thank you. You're a life saver!" I exclaim.

Lara smiles, a pair of dimples appear at each corners of her mouth.

"No probs."

"Well, I wasn't actually annoying her, I was only joking around," Logan lies.

"Ok but I'll keep an eye on you just so you don't bother Luna."

Confusion fills my head.

"How do you know my name?"

"Well, Logan called you that and he and Maria told me all about you."

Logan blushes scarlet, something I didn't expect from a boy like him.

"You're friends of Logan and Maria?"

"Friends? No. Cousins? Yes."
