Chapter Four: Him

"What do you think of the new kid?"

"He seems nice."

"Is he your type?"

"Not really...... he seems to soft for me."

"Hm..." I thought deeply on Irene's answer. So what is her type?? Should I ask her that? No she might think I'm weird...  Why do I care what she thinks?? Her opinion shouldn't matter to m-

"Y/n? Are you there?" Irene exclaimed cutting my train of thought.

"Oh... yeah sorry... just lost in my own world...."

"Mhm..... So what do you want me to do for you?

"What?"

"You know.... for the bet we made..... I have to do anything you want...." she said staring at the leaves dropping by.

"Oh yeahhh... I forgot about that... uhm..." I said scratching my neck."How about we uh.... go see a movie together?"

"You mean like a date?"

"I-I mean if you want to call it a date you can...." I felt my cheeks heat up.

Irene suddenly laughed which sent my confidence spiraling. "I knew you were bad at making a conversation, but this..... this is just terrible" she said laughing. How dare she mock me like this. "Sure I'll go.... I mean it's not like I can reject you since we made a deal."

"So your saying that you would reject me if we didn't make that bet?"

"Duh.... of course I would reject you.." she said chuckling.

"Ouch, you could have just lied to not hurt my feelings you know..."

"Whatever.... So when's the date??"

Hearing her say it's a date make my heart flutter.

"Uhm... how about tomorrow after school?"

"Sure... I have nothing better to do that day anyways."

I look away from her trying to hide the smile creeping on my face.

Time skip~

It was now Tuesday the day of the "date" and I'm really pumped up. I even brushed my hair today! Can you believe it? I also made it to school on time for once.

But.......

When I got their ready to talk to Irene she was already talking to that new kid.... what was his name...... Jimin right??

I decided to talk to her later and sat down next to Baekhyun.

"Your here early... what's the event??"

"Nothing in particular" I said smirking

"There is obviously something going on"

"I'm serious Baekhyun, nothing is going on....."

"Hm... alright I guess..", he decides to give up questioning me about the mood I'm in and decided to talk about the one and only......

"Do you see the Irene and the new kid?? They seem to be getting pretty close..."

"What are you talking about?"

"All I'm saying is that you should, you know.... claim Irene as yours.."

His words cause me to become flustered and my cheeks become hot.

"W-What are you talking about??"

"You know what I mean....." he says nudging my arm.

"No I don't, please explai-".

The bell cuts me off

"Everyone settle down....  Be quiet". Mr. Yang smacks the ruler on the desk multiple times. "Okay so we all know that we have a new student right? Mr. Park please raise your hand....." the boy raises his hand and everyone's eyes dart to him.

"Since we have a new student I fell like we should have a new seating arrangement right??" Everyone groans at his words which makes him chuckle.

He then writes down all the seat numbers onto tiny papers and places them in a container for us to choose from.

It was my turn to choose my number so I grab the paper and open it immediately to find that  I have the same seat from before!! Yes I'm so lucky!

I go back to my seat and wave good bye to Baekhyun and Momo as they leave to go to their new seats. I notice that Irene's seat is just a few rows ahead of mine. Too bad her number wasn't the seat next to mine.....

"Y/n, Right??" A blonde hair boy asks me. Wait...... Isn't that.......

"Yep that's me..... Jimin right??"

"Yep..." he smiles and sits down next to me. He my new seat mate I guess. "So you and Irene are good friends huh??"

His words send a chill down my spine. Why is he asking about Irene? Does he like her? WHY am I even thinking about this?!? Just answer his stupid question....

"I guess you can say that....."

"The way she talks about, it makes me think you guys are more than friends" he says giving a little chuckle.

"What???"

"I'm just saying she talks about you alot.. that's all..."

Irene?? Talks about ME a lot?? Really??? I'm surprised....

Me and Jimin talk some more and I actually get to know more about him.. He's actually pretty cool. We get interrupted by the bell and decide to focus on our work.

Time skip~

School has just ended and Jimin invited me to hang out with him..

"Sorry Jim, I'm going out with a friend.." I didn't say it was Irene of course or else he would have gotten the wrong idea.... I mean it is a date but I don't want him to know that...

I mean i literally just met him today.......

I tell him goodbye and walk around the school in search of Irene...

?? Pov:

I knew you and her were close but...... This...... this is worse than I thought....

I guess I have to get her the hard way
