Upon entering the Great Hall the students sat down on the table alloted to their respective houses. Cassandra left the boys and joined the Gryffindor table. She sat beside the only person she knew from Gryffindor, Rose Granger-Weasley. She seemed to be surround by another red-haired girl, who did not have freckles like her and a boy who seemed like he had a permanent mischievious grin on his face. When Cassandra approached them Rose pushed up to make space for her to sit, "Finally you are with your own lot." She said and continued, "this is Lily Potter and that is James Potter." She pointed to the boy and girl who were sitting across and beside her respectively. The girl coyly waved at Cassandra and the boy smiled. "Cassandra here has started Hogwarts from the sixth year onwards and as per the Headmistress she is brilliant." announed at the table to anyone who was listening. Cassandra blushed and said, "I really don't consider myself that smart you know." She added quickly. The boy sitting across said, "Well don't sooner or later Rose will chew your head off if you score better than her."
Cassandra gave a short laugh and Rose snapped at the boy, "James, we need as many smart students in Gryffindor to win this year and I know for a fact Cassandra happens to be brilliant at flying."
It was then that it clicked, "Wait are you to related to Albus?" She asked bith James and Lily.
"Yes, he is our bother and Lily here is the baby sister." James spoke drly. Lily tunred pink as said, "Just because I am the youngest doesn't mean that I am a baby."
"Oh well you are to me and Albus." Cassandra saw Lily puff her cheels she did look like a baby, "Don't worry I am the youngest in my family too." She added and Lily immediately simled bright.
After the sorting ceremony, the first years joined their own tables and began chatting with their new house-mates. The hall was a noise chatter as everyone was talking including the teachers.
The teachers sitting at the top of the Great Hall suddenly became quiet as the Headmistress stood up to speak. A sudden hush swept over the entire hall. Everyone was quiet as the Headmistress began to speak, "Welcome to Hogwarts first years, and welcome back to our old students. I would like to first introduce our new student before we begin our feast. Please welcome Miss Cassandra White. She had been sorted into Gryffindor earlier in the year. She will be starting from the sixth year. So I expect the sixth years to be cooperative and friendly to Miss Cassandra and make her feel home. Now that we are done introducing let the feast begin." As soon the Professor Mcgonagall said that the plate on the table that were empty before filled up with all sorts of dish. Cassandra sat there quite shocked. The plates werr full of lamp chops, roast chicken, and roast beef. She helped herself to some roast chicken and feasted well. After the main course was the dessert which was equally good. Rose seemed to be talking to some of the first-years and the Gryffindor ghost, Nearly Headless Nick was floating around welcoming the newbees and talking to some of the older students about their  summer vacation. As Nick was passing by he noticed Cassandra and called out her named, Cassandra was startled and was about to drop her goblet when James thankfully caught it. "Hello Nick!" She said grateful that she did not drop her pumpkin juice and thanked James. "How were your summer holidays. I think I saw you just two weeks ago." He said.
"Yes, Nick. You did. It was as usual ordinary." She said. Nick was not pleased with the answer and said, "Well I hope your time at Hogwarts is better than ordinary you are afterall..." Nearly Headless Nick paused to think and finally said, "...different than the rest of Gryffindor." He floated off without giving Cassandra time to think. Cassandra felt that it was weird for a ghost to say that. Rose on the other hand assured her, "Don't worry, Nick is a bit odd. He is a ghost afterall." Cassandra wished she could stop worrying ever since she boarded the train people have been saying weird things.
After the feast when it was time for them to leave, Professor Mcgonagall stood up to give the usually announcements about not allowed into the Forbidden Forest and not allowed to wander outside their dorms at night after she was done speaking the bid them good night and everyone began walking towards their common room. Rose went first because she had to show the way to the first-years but Cassandra, Lily and James stayed back a little longer. While the three of them were chatting Cassandra suddenly felt tired and they decided to leave, before she left the hall she walked over to the Slytherin table and sat beside Scorpious, she bid him and Albus 'goodnight' after chatting a little about the feast and the food. When she got up to leave she noticed James and Lily waiting for her by the door, together they headed for the common room.
As soon as she entered her dorm which she shared with Rose and three other Gryffindor girls she lazily changed to her pyjamas and feel fast asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She was very tired indeed. Cassandra had a dreamless sleep which she did not really mind considering how tired she was.
