Janus's POV:

It had been two weeks since "Putting Others First" event.
Over the two weeks Patton, Logan and I had been trying to figure out what Thomas next moves should be for his mental health. I had also apologized to Roman about the things I said, and while he is still mad, he seems to be warming up to me. Virgil too.
He nearly had a panic attack when he saw me on the Light Side of the Mindpalace, but Patton calmed him down and explained everything. Neither them spoke to me though. I didn't mind, I was perfectly content just hanging out with Patton, Logan and Remus. Oh yeah, Remus.
Since I was in the Process of becoming a lightside, I didn't get to see him as much, but I still went over to go hang out with him whenever I could.
Patton, for whatever reason, seemed to trust me the most. It was amazing actually having someone who could pretty much tell when I was lying and when I wasn't it. Sure he spent time with everyone and loved all of us, but I couldn't help but get the feeling he took extra special care with me. It was nice. Being listened too, for once.

"JJ! Wanna come help me make muffins?!" I heard Patton yell from the kitchen.

"Ok, I'm not coming!" I shouted in reply.

~5mins timeskip :)~

"So," I smiled as I walked through the door, "what kind of cupcakes are we making?"

"It's muffins!! And we're making blueberry and lemon if you must know!" The light-hearted side laughed.

"Oh what a shame I totally hate that kind." I slithered over, snapping on a yellow apron.

"Really?! They're my favourite too!" He gave me a toothy grin before snapping on his own apron.
"Will you get me the scales out, we need to weigh out some things"

"Of course," I started pulling out the scales and the muffin tray too, and laid them out Infront of Pat. I watched as he weighed out all the ingredients. His movements were so different from his mannerisms, they were controlled and graceful. He seem fully in the zone. His usually smiling blue eyes were concentrated and focused, in a way I had never seem them before. It was almost hypnotizing to watch.
Patton glanced over to me staring and smirked.

"Whatcha doing there snakey?"

I felt my face turn red. "U-uhm you didn't give m-me a job?!" I sputtered out.

"Oh of course, how could I forget!" He smiled, seemingly not noticing my tiny lie. "You can mix! It's the most fun part!" He handed me the spoon. "I've gotta go to the bathroom, brb!" He laughed before walking out the room.

As I started to mix, my thoughts swirled. What on earth just happened?! Why was I staring at him so long? Why did I get so embarrassed about it?! I don't even like Pat in that way! Right? Yeah he's cute, and it feels like he's the only one who gets me, and sometimes when the light catches his hair at a certain angle, it looks golden, and his eyes are the most calming shade of blue I've ever seen, and his- holy sh!t I'm in love with Patton. I felt the bowl and spoon slip out of my hands.

"Oh no kiddo what happened?!!" I heard the light blue side ask as he came back in the room.

"Amfksisvwj I'm s-sorry Patton I j-just los-st my focus-" I started mumbling out an apology, grabbing some paper towels and a cleaning spray. Pat grabbed some too and helped clean up.

"It's ok Janus, we can always try again a different time. You don't seem like yourself today, are you doing alright?" Patton comfortingly asked, putting the used towels in the bin.

I looked up at his face and noticed how his freckles look like stars. He was adorable. "I think I'm just going to go for a nap."

"Ok JJ." Patton hugged me, causing my cheeks to flare red again.

~timeskip~

I sat in my room, overthinking this new development. I was in love with Patton! What was I going to do?! I knew I needed to talk to someone about this, but whom? I couldn't go to Roman or Virgil, they still don't trust me. Remus would be of no help either. Logan might work though. Sure he didn't like the fact that I had impersonated him a lot and I had said on multiple occasions he was the least favourite side, but he was the only side with any sense apart from Patton. I pulled myself of my bed and down the hall, to Logan's room.

Knock knock.

Logan opened the door, looking unimpressed. "Oh. It's you. Are you here to trap me so you can go impersonate me again?" He leaned against the doorframe, his indigo eyes locked on mine.

"No, I need your help with something." I looked down at my feet. I didn't like impersonating others, but sometimes it was essential to prove my point.

"Oh really?" He smirked.

"Yes really."

"Well, why do you need my help? According to you I'm the 'stinky poo-poo side'." Logan adjusted his glasses.

"Oh my god you can't still made about that! It was a year ago!" I exclaimed.

"Well it still figuratively hurts!"

"Well look," I slowly took of my gloves, "I'm sorry. I have taken off my gloves because you and I both now I can't lie without them. Will you please he-" I got interrupted by a hacking cough. What was wrong with me? I never get sick! Even Lo looked concerned.

"I thought sides couldn't get sick." he mumbled, confused. "Alright, I will help with your cough!"

"But it's -cough- not the cough I need -cough- help with!"
