Chapter 12

"INTO THE- oh.. there's nothing here." Asahina had her bat raised up above her head, her disappointly putting it down as she saw the whole entrance empty.

"Keep alert, we don't know what could be here." Kirigiri warned the others.

"I'll go in front." Sakura declared, her moving forward in front of the others.

They all walked the hallways, the only sound being their breathing and footsteps.

"This place still gives me the creeps.." Leon whispered, him looking up to the strange lighting choices.

"It does for all of us, like, heck we were almost killed here!" Naegi responded to the ginger, his voice slightly raised.

"Keep it down, we're approaching the gym." Sakura shushed the two chattering males.

"Sorry.." Naegi apologized, keeping his voice down.

"I swear if that damn Enoshima did anything to Fujisaki I'll throw her in a river." Mondo growled, thinking about what she did to his friend.

"Welcome back students-""IT'S A MONOKUMA! AHHH!" Asahina let out a war cry before breaking the robot with her bat.

"Great, that was our only way to find out where he is." Mondo growled at the swimmer, her brows furrowed back at him.

"I don't know if I should be scared or turned on about how easily she broke that-" Leon whispered to Mondo, him groaning in responce.

"Neither, just focus." Mondo grumbled back, too busy thinking about a certain someone to want to pay attention to Leon trying to get a girl.

"Seriously! What's your deal?! I'm just tryna' lighten the mood." Leon growled back, his eyes narrowed at how pissed the other was.

"Well it's not working!" He'd shout, looking away as soon as he finished.

"You feel guilty about yelling at Taka, huh?" The ginger raised a brow.

"I don't! He got what was coming to him." He forced himself to believe that, Mondo made the right choice and he knew that was true, it had to be.

"Relax Mondo, I'm sure we'll all come to good terms after all of this, Taka will understand." Leon patted his friend on the back.

Mondo wish he could believe him, but he knew deep down that he could never forgive Ishimaru for leaving Fujisaki behind.

"We should look upstairs and in the dorm rooms, he and Enoshima could be anywhere so we should stick together." Sakura suggested, her voice lowered as to not get the mastermind to locate them.

"Isn't it better if we just split up? We'll cover more ground that way." Leon said.

"Are you stupid? Enoshima is more powerful then all of us combined! She could kill us all in one snap, we wouldn't stand a chance if we got separated." Asahina lectured him, mad at how stupid he could be.

"Right.. sorry." Leon apologized, his face turning red because of his embarrassment.

"Then where do we check first?" Naegi asked, him still holding a screwdriver up as a weapon.

"We should check upstairs, then down here, Mondo and I will go infront." Sakura explained, looking over to the biker.

Mondo nodded, going infront along with Sakura as they made their way out of the gym and up the staircases.

He'd peer into the boy's locker room, remembering what had happened and what he had done.

Mondo still felt guilty and scared to even touch another person because he was the one that almost ended his life, worst thing was that Fujisaki forgave him for it when Mondo couldn't.

He would've done it too, if it wasn't for a certain hall monitor stopping him from hurting the boy.

Mondo clenched his fist as he thought about it, he saved both of them, so why was he still so worried about the one who didn't even come to save Fujisaki a second time when he risked his life the first?

"Mondo, you doing good?" Leon placed a hand on the taller one's shoulder.

Mondo stayed silent for a minute, thoughts going in and out through his head.

"Look, we all forgive you for what you did, even if some of us were hesitant at first, even Fujisaki forgave you right away." Leon reassured him, seeing the look of fear in his eyes.

"I know you did.. it's not that, it's just I've been so worried about Ishimaru ever since I left even if I still feel mad as shit about how he didn't want to help.." Mondo explained himself.

"Look, as soon as we're out of here everything will go back to normal, you and Taka can go back to normal." Leon tried to cheer him up, but saw that he wasn't getting any better.

"Are you a idiot?! This is a death mission! I'm going to leave him all alone! Do you even imagine how hurt he's gonna be?! Him crying out for me when I'm dead?! When we're all dead!"  Mondo screamed at Leon, pure anger in his eyes as much as the time he tried to kill Fujisaki.

Leon didn't know how to respond, his pupils dilating in fear.

"Dead or not, we're not going to let Fujisaki be alone! We're going to save him you hear me?!" Leon shouted back.

"Now stop thinking about yourself and think about how we're doing this for Fujisaki!" Leon turned away, leaving Mondo alone in the corner.

Damn idiot, we'll all die here.

"Sakura! I found a elevator!" Asahina shouted out.

"What?" Sakura said back, confused.

"Yea it's some kind of old-timey shaft elevator, maybe theres a way down from here." Asahina ran over, standing on her toes to look Sakura in the eyes.

"That's the best bet, we're going in there." Sakura looked over to the others, all of them nodding and following Asahina into the elevator.

Mondo quickly held his pickaxe in his hand, ready for anything down there.

Naegi jumped a bit as it lowered, Kirigiri catching him and chuckling softly.

Mondo felt the shaft come to a stop, furrowing his eyebrows as he heard a giggle that didn't belong to anyone in there.

"Welcome back!"

All and all I think this chapter is really bad and I have been having writers block sorry >_<
